Complete fellowship details

Applications are open for the Gloria’s Foundation Fellowship 2027 . The Gloria’s Foundation will select two Fellows for a one-year fellowship, which will take place January – December 2027. This program will offer tools, resources, and a safe and inspiring space for work and organizing for Fellows whose work/independent project centers around justice.

Gloria’s Foundation is a nod to the place Gloria Steinem has called home since 1967 — a New York City apartment that has been the birthplace of countless ideas and organizations. From farm workers organizing for better wages to the first meetings for Ms. magazine, organizing is literally woven into Gloria’s home.

Benefits

Access to the Foundation’s space on the Upper East Side (New York City) two times/month from 9am-6pm. Must book 1 week in advance. There is an office including a Mac Desktop and printer available for use on-site. Invitation to Talking Circle programming. Dates and topics to be provided as they are scheduled.

Fellows may organize two Talking Circles during their Fellowship. Fellows will be responsible for deciding the topic and inviting up to 5 guests with approval from Gloria’s Foundation team. The Talking Circle must be scheduled two months in advance but can be held at any point during the Fellowship (exception: holidays).

$5,000 stipend and lunch provided when working on-site.

Tips for this fellowship

Practical JobOpportunity guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  2. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  3. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  4. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
