Overview
Rolling public education assistance from Liechtenstein combining non-repayable scholarships and repayable study loans for eligible education and training costs.
Complete scholarship details
Liechtenstein's Scholarship Office administers Ausbildungsbeihilfen as one-time or recurring financial support. Scholarships are non-repayable; study loans are repayable. Recognized costs can include school or tuition fees, accommodation, food, study materials and travel expenses, and under specified conditions a contribution toward living costs. Each application can cover a maximum of one year, after which a follow-up application is required. The official page does not publish a universal award amount or a fixed annual closing date because each case is assessed individually.
Eligibility requirements
The official FAQ states that applications are assessed individually under Liechtenstein scholarship law. The published residence and education conditions include an eligible post-compulsory education or training route and, for the standard residence route, regular residence in Liechtenstein at the start of training with at least three uninterrupted years or five years in total where interrupted. Applicants must satisfy the applicable statutory and suitability requirements for their education route.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Use the official Education Account and eID; support is assessed individually under the applicable law.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified on the official Liechtenstein Government Scholarship Office page. The page confirms scholarships and loans, eligible cost categories, electronic application through the Education Account using eID, and a maximum one-year support period per application. No fixed amount, deadline, or universal living contribution is claimed.
