Full job description
We are on a mission to pioneer the world’s next era of play. As we grow across Europe and Latin America, we’re building The Playstack - the technology powering the next generation of sports, gaming, and fan experiences. Join us, and help make it the most widely used platform in the world! From operations, to marketing, to product, we are looking for talented people who will shape how millions of customers play, watch, and connect every day. At Super, we are looking for a technically strong and delivery-focused Group Finance Reporting Manager to help lead accurate, consistent and timely reporting across a complex, multi-entity international group. The role sits between the Group Financial Controller and the Group Financial Accountant, combining hands-on ownership of key reporting workstreams with review, coordination and team leadership. You will work closely with regional finance teams and with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal and IPO advisers to strengthen reporting quality, controls and finance processes. What the role involves: Line manage, coach and develop the Group Financial Accountant, including setting objectives, reviewing work, giving regular feedback and supporting career progression. Drive the monthly and year-end close and consolidation, coordinating regional submissions, meeting deadlines and quality standards, and reviewing consolidation entries, intercompany eliminations, foreign exchange, cash flow and other judgemental adjustments. Strengthen balance sheet reconciliations through robust reviews, standard templates and clear ownership. Prepare and review monthly Group reporting packs, explaining material movements and underlying business drivers to the Group Financial Controller, FP&A and senior management. Support the Group Financial Controller and VP, Group Finance and Transformation with Audit Committee and Board papers on significant accounting judgements and going concern, and work with Tax and Treasury on the tax charge, hedge accounting, and debt and covenant reporting. Lead the analysis of complex or non-routine transactions (including business combinations, M&A, share-based payments, provisions, leases and impairment), preparing audit-ready IFRS technical papers and reviewing those prepared by the team and regional finance teams. Develop and maintain Group accounting policies and close guidance, drive consistent adoption across jurisdictions, and assess and implement new accounting standards (for example IFRS 18). Lead the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, annual report and statutory disclosures to listed-company quality standards, and build the capability to produce half-year and full-year results materials and alternative performance measures. Coordinate the preparation, audit and filing of HQ statutory accounts (including UK GAAP / FRS 102) within local deadlines, working with regional finance teams. Play a key role in IPO readiness, including historical financial information, the financial sections of listing documents, auditor and underwriter due diligence and comfort-letter requests, and closing gaps in reporting processes, controls and disclosures against the target exchange’s requirements. Manage significant workstreams in the interim and year-end audit, planning deliverables, coordinating evidence and resolving queries, and act as day-to-day contact for the external auditors and advisers, escalating issues appropriately. Develop Group controls and standardise procedures across Regions, embedding disclosure controls and reporting governance, and support the internal control over financial reporting framework (key control documentation, testing and remediation) to the target exchange’s requirements, such as SOX-style controls. Drive continuous improvement of close, consolidation and reporting processes, including automation, standardisation of the Group chart of accounts and finance systems enhancements (for example D365 and Anaplan). Deputise for the Group Financial Controller as required and support ad hoc projects, including M&A due diligence, acquisition integration and onboarding new entities. What we are looking for: Qualification as an accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with 7+ years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a Top 10 firm and a complex, international, listed or pre-IPO group environment. Strong IFRS technical expertise, applied practically in a complex group environment, with hands-on experience preparing technical papers, position memos and audit-ready documentation. Experience of complex accounting areas, including business combinations and M&A, IFRS 2, provisions, leases, impairment, equity accounting and fixed assets. Experience of an IPO or IPO-readiness programme and/or listed-company reporting, with knowledge of public-company disclosure, governance and internal control requirements. Strong knowledge of group consolidation and month-end close across multiple entities, including UK GAAP / FRS 102 reporting, and experience developing and embedding group accounting policies across jurisdictions. Proven people management experience, including coaching and developing a direct report or small team. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, able to explain complex accounting positions to auditors, senior management and non-finance colleagues. A proactive, accountable approach, focused on accuracy, consistency and continuous improvement. Experience with finance systems and reporting tools, ideally D365 and Anaplan, and advanced Excel skills.
