ROLE We are looking for a talented Head of Data, deeply passionate about algorithms, data science, data-engineering and data-driven decisions, transforming raw data into clear actionable business insights, who will play a key role in the development of BeReal.
- Tackle strategic and operational challenges by analyzing large and complex datasets
- Enable product teams to independently navigate Amplitude dashboards and make informed decisions
- Provide actionable recommendations from A/B tests to shape the product roadmap
- Build and scale a robust data infrastructure that addresses both business intelligence and data science needs
- Lead and mentor a team of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts OUR STACK
- Infra: GCP, BigQuery, Spanner
- ETL: Airflow, DBT
- Product Analytics: Amplitude
- Data visualisation: Hex, Tableau PROFILE
- 8+ years in data (analysis, engineering, or science), ideally with time spent across more than one of them
- Track record of delivering fast in a high-tempo environment, with a bias toward results over process
- Hands-on experience modeling and analyzing high-volume, user-level data
- Proven history of shipping data science projects into production — not just prototypes
- Hands-on experience building with modern AI: LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG, agentic workflows, or AI-assisted analytics pipelines
- Genuine curiosity about where AI is heading, and a habit of staying current with new models, tools, and techniques — and a clear point of view on which ones are worth adopting
- Experience designing and interpreting complex A/B tests, ideally for mobile apps
- Advanced command of statistical methods and tooling
- Ability to explain complex topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences alike
