Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Marketing based in Canada. We are looking for a hands-on marketing leader to shape strategy, accelerate revenue growth, and build a modern, AI-powered marketing engine. This role combines strategic leadership with direct execution, offering the opportunity to scale marketing operations through intelligent agents and automation. You will own key growth metrics, lead cross-functional initiatives, and work closely with the CEO to turn ambitious ideas into measurable results. From performance marketing and lifecycle campaigns to conversion optimization and category positioning, you will oversee the full marketing function. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving B2B SaaS environment and enjoys building, testing, and shipping—not just managing. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates based in Canada.

Build an AI-powered marketing engine: Develop and deploy AI agents and automations that execute real marketing tasks across advertising, reporting, content production, and lifecycle campaigns. Assign clear ownership and measure the impact on efficiency and results. Own marketing strategy and performance: Set priorities across growth, paid acquisition, affiliate marketing, lifecycle, web, content, and product marketing. Define marketing OKRs and regularly report progress and outcomes to the CEO. Drive revenue and growth efficiency: Take ownership of pipeline and revenue targets, customer acquisition cost (CAC), payback periods, trial volume, and overall marketing efficiency. Lead conversion rate optimization: Manage the CRO roadmap, prioritize experiments, measure results, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve registration, onboarding, and checkout experiences. Manage lifecycle marketing: Develop and optimize trial, win-back, and upsell programs while maintaining accurate data flows between the product and marketing systems. Shape market positioning and thought leadership: Build a compelling category narrative, develop original research and reports, and maintain consistent messaging across the website, social media, PR, and other channels. Lead and develop the marketing team: Establish priorities, set expectations, provide regular feedback, hire for open positions, and make decisions that support strong team performance. Maintain reliable measurement: Ensure marketing performance is accurately tracked across GA4, HubSpot, Stripe, and advertising platforms, using data to guide decisions and improve outcomes. Requirements: At least 7 years of marketing experience , including 3 or more years leading a marketing team . Demonstrated experience building AI agents or automations that perform meaningful marketing work, with examples you can share. Proven accountability for pipeline and revenue targets, including ownership of CAC and payback metrics. Experience running a conversion rate optimization program and managing lifecycle marketing across trial, win-back, and upsell journeys. Hands-on proficiency with GA4, HubSpot, and Stripe , including marketing analytics and measurement. Experience managing marketers across multiple disciplines, balancing strategic direction with hands-on execution. Background in B2B SaaS marketing , with the ability to translate business objectives into practical, measurable marketing plans. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Nice to have: Experience defining or launching a new market category, working with marketing technology or agentic AI platforms, producing paid social creative, or building influencer and affiliate programs. Benefits: Fully remote work arrangement for candidates based in Canada. Compensation of US$48–US$57 per hour . 15 days of paid time off (PTO) . Paid time off on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The opportunity to lead marketing strategy and execution while helping develop an AI-driven approach to modern marketing.
