Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Head of Operations based in the United States. This is a high-ownership operations leadership role responsible for building the operational infrastructure that enables a fast-growing, profitable SaaS business to scale. You will initially work hands-on across revenue operations, contracts, vendors, partnerships, people operations, recruiting, systems, and compliance. The role is designed for a builder who can learn each process, improve it, document it, and ultimately delegate it to a growing operations team. You will work closely with the CEO and senior leaders, taking ownership of responsibilities that currently require executive involvement. Over time, your scope will expand into operating cadence, partner strategy, pricing and deal modeling, and strategic research. Success requires exceptional organization, direct communication, strong judgment, and a willingness to handle both strategic and highly practical work. This is a remote U.S. opportunity with significant autonomy and a clear path toward becoming a broader operational leader within the organization.

Own revenue operations, including billing, collections, payments, quote-to-cash workflows, pipeline and forecast reporting, commission calculations, deal desk support, and account changes across relevant systems. Manage contracts and vendor operations, including order forms, MSAs, NDAs, partner agreements, SaaS renewals, usage audits, seat management, and cost optimization. Establish reliable processes that ensure customer contracts, product usage, billing, and payments remain accurately aligned across systems. Manage partner administration, including revenue-share calculations and payments, partner records, pipeline tracking, and co-marketing coordination. Take ownership of recruiting and people operations, including sourcing, outreach, scheduling, recruiting pipelines, offers, onboarding, offboarding, PTO, expenses, and performance-review processes. Hire and manage an Operations Associate who will gradually take ownership of documented operational workflows, allowing you to expand into higher-impact responsibilities. Build and maintain clear documentation for every operational process, ensuring that workflows can be executed effectively by junior team members without constant executive intervention. Lead operational systems and compliance initiatives, including access controls, security processes, enterprise customer security documentation, data protection, and SOC 2 readiness when required. Identify inefficiencies, eliminate manual work, and implement systems and automation that reduce operational risk, prevent revenue leakage, and improve scalability. Develop an operating cadence that enables the organization to run efficiently and provides leadership with clear visibility into critical business processes. As the operational foundation matures, expand into partner strategy and enablement, pricing and deal modeling, and research supporting entry into new industries. Work independently, prioritize effectively, and take full ownership of closing operational issues rather than simply coordinating or tracking them. Requirements: Demonstrated experience building an operations function or operational infrastructure from the ground up rather than simply inheriting an established system. Strong practical knowledge of billing, collections, contracts, vendor management, business systems, and operational workflows, ideally within a SaaS environment. Proven experience creating processes that can be documented, delegated, measured, and operated successfully by other team members. Experience hiring, managing, and developing people, with the ability to build a team gradually as operational responsibilities expand. Comfortable representing the organization with external stakeholders, including customers, partners, vendors, and other business counterparts. Willingness to remain highly hands-on during the first six months and personally learn and operate core processes before delegating them. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple operational areas without losing sight of priorities or deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to communicate directly and effectively with founders and senior leadership. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a practical approach to identifying issues, designing solutions, and implementing improvements. Ability to work autonomously in an environment where responsibilities evolve and priorities change frequently. Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to work during U.S. Eastern Time hours. Experience working at a SaaS company is strongly preferred, particularly in an environment serving operationally complex businesses. Experience in staffing, HR technology, or another industry serving non-technical operators is a plus but not required. A strong bias toward ownership, execution, and results, with the mindset that no operational task is beneath the role. Benefits: Remote position open to candidates in the United States. Opportunity to take ownership of a broad and strategically important operational function. Significant autonomy and direct exposure to executive decision-making. Clear opportunity to expand the role's scope as the operational foundation becomes more mature. Potential path toward broader company leadership across operating cadence, partnerships, pricing, and strategic initiatives. High-ownership environment where speed, execution, and measurable results are prioritized over bureaucracy. Opportunity to build processes and teams from the ground up rather than simply maintain an established operating model. Direct collaboration with founders and senior leaders. Opportunity to work in a profitable, growing SaaS business with a large and expanding customer base. Flexible remote environment, with collaboration aligned to U.S. Eastern Time hours. Benefits and compensation details are handled directly through the company's hiring process.
