Full job description
The role reports directly to GovAI's Executive Director and carries significant autonomy over US-focused research strategy, research quality, recruitment, mentorship, organizational structure, policymaker relationships and input to DC fellowship programmes. The standard compensation range is USD 175,000 to USD 205,000 plus benefits, with possible flexibility where compensation would otherwise prevent acceptance.
Requirements & qualifications
There are no fixed minimum-experience requirements, but GovAI seeks exceptional research judgment, strong understanding of AI policy and the Washington policymaking environment, leadership and talent-development ability, intellectual rigor, initiative and a record of producing or directing useful technology-policy, national-security or related analysis.
