The Research Grants Council will award 400 HKPFS fellowships for the 2027/28 academic year. Each fellowship provides an annual stipend of HK$344,400 and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$14,400 per year for three years. Applicants first submit an HKPFS initial application and then apply separately for PhD admission to their selected university programme(s). Applicants may choose up to two programmes across one or two universities.
