THE ROLEThe Housing Services Officer, Housing Advice and Assistance Team (HAAT) works withing a small team focused on delivering ‘front line' housing services across the Loddon Area.HAAT play a critical role assisting individuals, advocates and support agencies with queries and applications to the Victorian Housing Register (VHR). As a Housing Services Officer you are responsible for ensuring high-quality client service are delivered for those who are homeless, seeking housing assistance or living in public or community housing.The Housing Services Officer assist community members, public housing renters, their advocates, local housing offices, external agencies and other departmental and government areas over the telephone, via e-mail and through other channels of communication.This role is focussed primarily on delivery HAAT services but is also part of the broader Loddon Client Support and Housing Services Team. At various times the role will perform other duties such as assisting with completion of bonds, providing supports to walk up clients and assisting with broader tenancy matters. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDEAssess client's needs and provide advice on housing options from a range of established policy, procedures and standards.Respond to family violence risk in accordance with Multi Agency Risk Assessment Management (MARAM) guidelines.Use persuasive skills in dealing with clients and stakeholders on all housing matters.Please open the position description to read more.HOW TO APPLYApplicants are encouraged to apply online.
