Job Title: HSE Manager - UZ Island- Brownfield - Offshore Water Injection Project
KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently looking to fill a position of HSE Manager - UZ Island- Brownfield for an Offshore Water Injection Project to be based in UAE (Abu Dhabi) as soon as the administrative processes are completed, will then relocate to Spain Office and then return to Abu Dhabi**.**
Job Purpose
The HSE Manager is responsible for leading and implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems for the offshore brownfield water injection project on UZ Island. The role ensures full compliance with company standards, client requirements, and local/international regulations while promoting a strong safety culture throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain the Project HSE Management Plan.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE regulations, client requirements, and industry best practices.
- Lead project risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, JSA, and other safety studies.
- Monitor offshore construction, installation, commissioning, and brownfield modification activities.
- Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) and Control of Work processes.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action tracking.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and management site visits.
- Monitor contractor HSE performance and ensure compliance with project standards.
- Prepare and present HSE performance reports, KPIs, and management reviews.
- Ensure emergency preparedness plans are implemented and emergency drills are conducted.
- Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, campaigns, and workforce engagement initiatives.
- Promote environmental protection measures, waste management, and pollution prevention practices.
- Interface with client representatives, regulatory authorities, and project management teams on HSE matters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- NEBOSH International Diploma, NVQ Level 6, CSP, GradIOSH/CMIOSH, or equivalent preferred.
- Lead Auditor certification (ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001) is highly desirable.
Experience
- 20-25+ years of HSE experience in the oil & gas industry.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial or leadership HSE role.
- Strong experience in offshore EPC, brownfield modifications, and water injection projects.
- Experience working on offshore islands, platforms, shutdowns, and SIMOPS environments.
- Middle East/ADNOC offshore project experience is highly preferred.
