Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Infra Engineer Team Lead based in the United States. As an Infra Engineer Team Lead, you will take ownership of the infrastructure powering a next-generation cloud and AI resource management platform. You will oversee critical systems spanning self-hosted deployments, SaaS environments, and AI infrastructure, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability across production environments. Working across major cloud providers, you will drive infrastructure strategy, strengthen security, and simplify complex operational workflows through automation. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and R&D teams to enable rapid innovation without compromising stability. Combining hands-on technical expertise with engineering leadership, you will mentor engineers, solve challenging infrastructure problems, and improve operational efficiency. This remote opportunity is ideal for a proactive technical leader passionate about cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and building resilient infrastructure at scale.
Own end-to-end infrastructure: Lead the design, operation, and continuous improvement of infrastructure supporting self-hosted products, installation and onboarding workflows, SaaS platforms, and AI infrastructure. Manage multi-cloud environments: Oversee cloud infrastructure across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure, including networking, compute resources, identity management, single sign-on (SSO), and security configurations. Lead infrastructure engineering initiatives: Guide technical projects, establish engineering priorities, and mentor team members while maintaining high standards of reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Support customer deployments: Work directly with customers to facilitate infrastructure deployments, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure successful installation and operation across diverse environments. Enable reliable product delivery: Collaborate with backend engineering, product, and R&D teams to support rapid feature development while maintaining production stability and service reliability. Automate operational workflows: Identify recurring manual tasks and operational bottlenecks, then develop automation, tooling, and processes that reduce toil and improve engineering productivity. Strengthen infrastructure security: Maintain and improve security practices across the infrastructure stack, including access controls, identity and authentication mechanisms, network security, and cloud-native security principles. Drive continuous improvement: Identify infrastructure risks, investigate complex technical challenges, and implement scalable solutions that improve performance, resilience, maintainability, and operational efficiency. Requirements Infrastructure engineering experience: At least five years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering (SRE), preferably within high-scale distributed systems and production environments. Technical leadership: At least two years of demonstrated experience leading software engineering initiatives, coordinating technical projects, and mentoring engineers in production environments. Multi-cloud expertise: Practical experience working with at least two major cloud providers: AWS, GCP, or Azure, including the deployment, management, and troubleshooting of cloud infrastructure. Networking and security knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud networking, security groups, identity and access management (IAM), single sign-on (SSO), OpenID Connect (OIDC), and modern cloud-native security practices. Ownership and problem-solving: A proactive mindset with a strong sense of accountability and the ability to identify issues, take initiative, and deliver effective solutions rather than simply escalating problems. Communication skills: Full professional fluency in both Hebrew and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, customers, and other stakeholders. Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies (preferred): Deep knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm, including their underlying architecture and internal mechanisms, with the ability to troubleshoot, extend, and build upon these technologies. Go programming experience (preferred): Familiarity with Go and the ability to develop infrastructure tooling or contribute to cloud-native systems. Cloud cost optimization (preferred): Experience optimizing cloud resource utilization and costs, managing infrastructure efficiency, or working with products focused on infrastructure tooling and resource management. Collaborative leadership: The ability to work across engineering, product, and R&D functions, balance technical priorities, and promote a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence. Benefits Remote work: Opportunity to work remotely from the United States. Technical ownership: Take responsibility for a broad infrastructure ecosystem spanning self-hosted deployments, SaaS platforms, and AI infrastructure. Engineering leadership: Lead important technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and influence infrastructure architecture and engineering practices. Innovative technology: Work on advanced cloud and AI infrastructure challenges, with opportunities to explore automation, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies. Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, R&D, and customers to solve complex problems and deliver reliable infrastructure solutions. Operational impact: Drive improvements in scalability, reliability, security, and resource efficiency across critical production environments. Professional growth: Expand your expertise in multi-cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, and technical team leadership.
