Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer Network & Telephony based in Brazil. We are seeking an experienced infrastructure professional to support enterprise network and telephony operations in a global, regulated environment. This role combines hands-on Cisco infrastructure engineering with incident resolution, change management, patching, and operational reporting. You will play a key role in maintaining service reliability while supporting the transition from traditional Cisco telephony to a modern cloud-based platform. You will also contribute to the completion of infrastructure decommissioning initiatives and ensure smooth knowledge transfer as legacy systems are retired. Working with international stakeholders, you will take ownership of critical operational activities and help shape a sustainable support model for the evolving telephony landscape. The position is open to Senior and Principal-level candidates, depending on experience and technical depth.

Execute and coordinate Cisco infrastructure patching cycles across network and telephony platforms, minimizing service disruption and maintaining operational stability. Investigate, manage, and resolve incidents involving Cisco networks, telephony systems, and legacy call recording platforms within established SLAs. Submit, test, validate, and verify infrastructure and telephony changes through formal change management processes, ensuring successful implementation. Coordinate network and telephony support activities with relevant stakeholders and provide regular operational updates and status reports. Produce and maintain recurring reports covering incident trends, change activity, and overall infrastructure health. Complete outstanding data center exit (DC Exit) project activities, ensuring all migrated or decommissioned components are properly documented and handed over. Support the migration from Cisco telephony to Content Guru or the designated cloud-based platform, including maintenance verification and knowledge transfer for legacy call recording systems. Gradually reduce and document the Cisco support model as legacy infrastructure is retired, maintaining runbooks, operational procedures, and lessons learned. Collaborate with global teams across different time zones, communicating clearly with technical and business stakeholders throughout incidents, changes, and migration activities. Demonstrate independent ownership of complex technical responsibilities, with Principal-level candidates also expected to provide informal technical guidance and mentoring. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Extensive experience in network and telephony infrastructure engineering, with technical depth appropriate for a Senior or Principal-level position. Strong hands-on expertise in Cisco network infrastructure, including routing, switching, patching, and ongoing platform support. Experience supporting Cisco telephony and legacy call recording platforms, including change testing, maintenance verification, and operational troubleshooting. Practical knowledge of ITIL-aligned incident and change management processes within regulated, enterprise-scale environments. Experience coordinating infrastructure support activities and producing recurring operational and stakeholder status reports. Proven ability to work effectively with international, multicultural teams and global stakeholders across multiple time zones. Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and accountability, particularly when managing incidents under pressure. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, structured updates and lead stakeholder-facing discussions. Experience delivering infrastructure initiatives in complex enterprise environments, ideally involving migration, retirement, or decommissioning of legacy platforms. Prior experience migrating to or operating Content Guru or a comparable cloud telephony or Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platform. Fluency in written and spoken English, including the ability to lead stakeholder calls and participate in interviews in English. For Principal-level candidates, demonstrated ability to take independent technical ownership and provide informal technical mentoring. Preferred qualifications: Experience with data center exit programs or large-scale infrastructure decommissioning. Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE, or equivalent certifications in telephony or call recording technologies. Previous experience in insurance or other regulated, enterprise-scale industries. Benefits Work arrangement: 100% remote. Location: Brazil. Employment type: Full-time. Seniority: Senior or Principal level, depending on experience and technical expertise. Compensation: Negotiable, based on experience and level of responsibility. Contract type: PJ (Brazilian legal-entity contractor arrangement). Technical exposure: Opportunity to contribute to enterprise infrastructure operations, cloud telephony migration, and legacy platform decommissioning. Specific benefits such as healthcare coverage, paid leave, bonuses, or equipment allowances are not detailed in the source description.
