Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer (Zabbix / Prometheus / Grafana) based in Switzerland. Join a technology-driven team dedicated to building and operating reliable, secure, and high-performance IT environments. As an Infrastructure Monitoring Engineer, you will manage and continuously improve monitoring systems that help identify issues before they impact critical services. You will work with industry-leading observability tools, time series databases, and network technologies to strengthen infrastructure visibility and operational reliability. The role combines hands-on technical expertise, independent problem-solving, and collaboration across infrastructure projects. You will also contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a fully remote opportunity with a flexible working environment, professional development support, and participation in a shift rotation.

Operate, maintain, and continuously improve monitoring infrastructure using Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, and time series databases such as InfluxDB. Design, configure, and optimize alerting mechanisms and escalation procedures to ensure that incidents reach the appropriate teams promptly. Design and document network environments for customer and internal projects, ensuring technical documentation is completed before implementation. Independently review configurations, identify potential improvements, and recommend practical technical enhancements. Share technical knowledge, support the onboarding of new colleagues, and contribute to team development. Participate in a rotating shift schedule that includes nights, weekends, and public holidays. Collaborate with colleagues across technical areas, supporting broader team objectives while developing your own expertise. Requirements: At least five years of relevant professional experience, excluding educational programs and internships. Extensive hands-on experience with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, and time series databases such as InfluxDB. Strong networking knowledge, including IPv4 and IPv6. Practical experience configuring notification mechanisms and escalation processes. Solid foundational knowledge of Linux, Windows, and databases. A structured, independent approach to work, with strong attention to technical documentation and implementation standards. Proven practical technical expertise; product-specific certifications are less important than demonstrated hands-on skills. Fluency in both English and Spanish. German language skills are an advantage. Availability to participate in a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Benefits: Fully remote working arrangement. Flexible working hours, with the ability to balance additional hours against personal commitments within the applicable scheduling framework. Choice between working from home and working from the office. Private health insurance. Flexible compensation benefits. Access to professional training programs, English classes, and industry certifications. Opportunities to participate in internal events, outdoor activities, team-building days, and padel matches. A collaborative working environment that encourages continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development. Workplace amenities, including coffee, snacks, and recreational facilities when working from the office. Flexibility in planning holidays, supported by a collaborative team.
