This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Creative Writer with Finnish based in India. As a Creative Writer with Finnish, you will create engaging, culturally relevant dialogue for an advanced virtual assistant. You will help shape a distinct and recognizable character in Finnish while ensuring its voice remains consistent with broader global personality guidelines. The role combines creative writing, localization, editing, translation, and quality assurance. You will draw on current events, cultural trends, celebrations, and everyday topics to develop natural and relevant interactions. You will also collaborate with other writers by reviewing and refining dialogue suggestions. This is a flexible remote freelance opportunity suited to a self-motivated writer with strong language skills and curiosity about the world.
Write and edit creative dialogue for a virtual assistant based on current events, cultural trends, popular festivities, and other relevant topics. Refresh, refine, and improve existing dialogue to maintain quality, relevance, and consistency. Develop the virtual assistant's Finnish-language personality while maintaining alignment with worldwide character and tone guidelines. Review dialogue suggestions created by other writers and provide constructive editorial input. Translate and culturally adapt dialogue from English into natural, engaging Finnish. Perform editorial quality assurance to identify and correct linguistic, contextual, and stylistic issues. Embed completed dialogue into XML files using proprietary tools, with training provided as needed. Collaborate with the wider writing and localization team to continuously improve the quality and personality of the virtual assistant. Requirements: Native-level Finnish language proficiency with strong writing and editing abilities. Excellent critical reading and analytical thinking skills. Strong creative writing skills and the ability to produce natural, engaging, and culturally appropriate dialogue. Genuine interest in current events, cultural trends, and a broad range of topics. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute assignments with minimal supervision. Resilience and openness to constructive feedback, with a willingness to continuously refine your work. Growth mindset and enthusiasm for learning new processes and technologies. Willingness and ability to learn new tools and workflows, including XML-based content processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial quality.
