As an intern in DePoly’s R&D Department, you will support ongoing activities in our PET plastic recycling laboratory. You will work alongside chemists and engineers to help design, develop, and optimise processes and equipment for scale-up to our commercial plant. Your Mission

- Support R&D and quality control projects, collaborating closely with scientists and engineers
- Contribute to the optimisation of processes and unit operations for DePoly’s commercial PET recycling plant
- Accurately document experimental procedures, results, and observations
- Assist in data analysis and reporting to support decision-making and process improvements
Qualifications And Requirements
We expect you to have these skills:
- Enrolled in a degree program in Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering
- Hands-on experience in a wet chemistry laboratory
- Proven ability to multitask by managing concurrent experiments while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced lab environment
- Demonstrated strong sense of responsibility by strictly following laboratory protocols, accurate record-keeping, and safe chemical handling
- Able to manage your own work and stay organised, while asking for guidance when needed
- Curious and willing to learn, with a hands-on approach to picking up new responsibilities
- Strong team player with good communication skills
- Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus
- Eligible to work in Switzerland (Swiss work permit or equivalent)
- Nice to have: Familiarity with different analytical techniques such as UV-Vis, FTIR and NMR
