Our partner is looking for an iOS Developer – Contract Role based in India Join an innovative technology environment focused on building modern digital solutions at the intersection of cloud, data, and artificial intelligence. As a Contract iOS Developer, you will take ownership of native iOS application development from initial design handoff through testing, deployment, and ongoing optimization. You will transform design concepts into polished, accessible user experiences using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit. Working closely with backend engineers, designers, Android developers, and QA specialists, you will deliver reliable applications integrated with modern APIs and backend services. You will also manage the complete App Store release lifecycle, from build configuration and TestFlight testing to production deployment and performance monitoring. This six-month remote contract is ideal for an experienced iOS professional who enjoys hands-on development, technical ownership, and delivering high-quality mobile experiences in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Own iOS features end to end, from design handoff and implementation through testing, release, and ongoing maintenance. Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit. Translate Figma designs into polished, responsive, accessible, and pixel-accurate user interfaces. Integrate RESTful and GraphQL APIs, implementing authentication with OAuth or JWT, error handling, caching, and offline functionality. Collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts, validate endpoints, and troubleshoot integration issues using tools such as Postman and Charles Proxy. Write and maintain unit and UI tests using XCTest, ensuring code quality, reliability, and maintainability. Build clean, modular, and scalable application architectures using established patterns and best practices. Manage Xcode builds, code signing, certificates, and provisioning profiles. Maintain separate QA, UAT, and production builds using Xcode schemes, build configurations, and branch-per-environment workflows. Upload builds to App Store Connect, coordinate TestFlight beta testing with internal and external testers, and incorporate feedback into subsequent releases. Prepare App Store listings and manage submissions, App Review requirements, production releases, and phased rollouts. Monitor application crashes and performance using tools such as Instruments, Crashlytics, and Sentry, identifying and resolving issues after launch. Collaborate with backend, Android, design, and QA teams within an Agile development environment. Contribute to continuous improvement in development workflows, testing practices, release management, and application performance. Requirements: At least 6 years of professional iOS development experience, including at least one application published on the App Store. Demonstrated experience delivering iOS applications from initial design through deployment, including TestFlight distribution and App Store submission. Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit. Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs using URLSession or Alamofire and parsing JSON data with Codable. Solid understanding of iOS architecture patterns, including MVVM, Clean Architecture, or The Composable Architecture (TCA). Practical experience with Swift Concurrency, including async/await, Combine, and local data persistence technologies such as Core Data or SwiftData. Familiarity with Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and accessibility standards. Hands-on experience with Xcode, Swift Package Manager, and Git-based version control hosted on Azure DevOps Repos. Strong understanding of application testing, debugging, performance optimization, and production release processes. Ability to work independently, take ownership of technical deliverables, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing clean, maintainable code. Preferred qualifications: Experience implementing mobile CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions. Knowledge of iOS capabilities such as push notifications, in-app purchases, widgets, and App Clips. Familiarity with Objective-C and the ability to work with existing Objective-C codebases. Experience with application analytics, feature flags, and A/B testing. Contributions to open-source Swift projects or a strong portfolio of published applications. Familiarity with backend technologies such as .NET 8 APIs and PostgreSQL. Benefits: Remote work flexibility: Work remotely from India throughout the contract. Defined contract duration: A six-month engagement with a clear project timeframe. Meaningful technical ownership: Take responsibility for iOS features across the complete development and release lifecycle. Collaborative team environment: Work alongside professionals across mobile development, backend engineering, design, and quality assurance. Learning and development: Benefit from a culture that values professional growth, curiosity, and continuous learning. Innovative technology exposure: Contribute to products within a broader technology environment focused on cloud, data, and AI. Opportunity to make an impact: Deliver mobile features and improvements that contribute directly to product quality and user experience.
