The intern conducts in-person and phone interviews in Arabic, records biographical and narrative information, prepares written reports in English, serves as a contact point for refugee applicants and clients, provides legal counseling and information under staff-attorney supervision, contributes to service-improvement work and maintains complete, confidential case documentation.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must commit at least 16 hours per week, have excellent English and Arabic communication skills, strong writing, organization and time-management skills, proficiency with Microsoft and Google suites, and a strong interest in humanitarian work. The role requires sensitivity to client empowerment and work with vulnerable populations.
