Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an IT Operations Administrator based in the United States. The IT Operations Administrator will play a key role in delivering reliable, secure, and effective technology support for a distributed, fully remote workforce. This hands-on position spans endpoint management, identity and access administration, SaaS platforms, and the full employee technology lifecycle. You will independently investigate complex technical issues and drive operational improvements from initial analysis through implementation and validation. By combining strong troubleshooting skills with scripting, automation, and AI-assisted tools, you will help reduce repetitive tasks and improve service reliability. You will also strengthen security, streamline employee experiences, and ensure technology systems remain well managed as the organization grows. Collaboration with IT, Security, People, and business teams will be essential to delivering scalable, employee-focused solutions.
Own employee technology support from investigation through verified resolution, troubleshooting macOS, iOS/iPadOS, browser, connectivity, authentication, and SaaS issues through ticketing systems, Slack, and remote sessions. Participate in the IT on-call rotation, supporting urgent technical issues outside regular business hours and communicating clear next steps to employees. Manage the employee technology lifecycle, including onboarding, role changes, leaves of absence, and offboarding, coordinating account updates, access changes, device provisioning, replacements, returns, and remote logistics. Administer endpoint management platforms such as Iru/Kandji, Jamf, or similar tools, overseeing software deployments, configuration profiles, operating system updates, device health, and compliance follow-up. Maintain the operational health of Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other SaaS applications, troubleshooting single sign-on (SSO), provisioning, groups, permissions, configurations, and integrations. Maintain accurate device and application inventories, conduct access reviews, coordinate license optimization, and apply least-privilege access practices while verifying that changes are completed correctly. Build, test, document, and maintain scripts and workflow automations that reduce manual work and improve operational reliability. Use AI-assisted tools responsibly, validate generated outputs, protect sensitive information, and implement monitoring and failure-handling processes. Identify recurring issues and lead improvements from investigation through pilot testing, employee communication, deployment, and validation. Measure results, plan recovery procedures, maintain practical runbooks and self-service guidance, and coordinate changes with relevant technical and business teams. Requirements At least 5 years of experience in IT operations, systems administration, endpoint management, or technical support. Hands-on experience supporting macOS and iOS/iPadOS, including remote troubleshooting and endpoint administration. Experience with Iru/Kandji, Jamf, or a comparable mobile device management (MDM) platform. Experience administering Okta, Google Workspace, and modern SaaS applications, with working knowledge of SSO, user provisioning, groups, permissions, and access lifecycle management. Strong troubleshooting skills across devices, browsers, identity systems, connectivity, and application integrations. Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex technical issues and deliver IT system or workflow improvements, including assessing dependencies, testing changes, communicating employee impact, validating outcomes, and recognizing when escalation is appropriate. Experience building or adapting scripts and workflow automations to reduce repetitive work, troubleshoot issues, and maintain reliable processes. Familiarity with GAM, APIs, Bash, or Python is preferred. Experience using AI-assisted tools to improve IT workflows, with sound judgment regarding sensitive data, output validation, and situations requiring human review. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to employees with varying levels of technical knowledge. Ability to work effectively in a distributed, fast-paced environment while collaborating across IT Engineering, Security, People, and business teams. Benefits Salary: Base salary typically ranges from $110,000 to $130,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, seniority, business needs, and location. Equity: Eligibility for equity as part of the total compensation package. Remote work: Fully remote position. Healthcare: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. Paid time off: Paid leave to support rest and personal needs. Retirement: 401(k) plan with employer matching. Family support: Paid parental leave.
