Position Summary:

We are currently looking for a Journeyman O6 Electrician to join our growing team. As a Journeyman, you will be involved in the installation, commissioning and servicing of commercial building automation systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of basic electronic theory and Building Electrical / Mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

· Installs, wiring, BMS and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.

· Studies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of installations.

· Repairs and maintains low voltage systems (under 120V).

· Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.

· Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshooting and startup of a variety of Building Automation Systems.

· Appropriately handles and is familiar with all testing and electrical repair tools and equipment.

· Perform tasks with minimum supervision and in accordance with Ainsworth Health & Safety policies and procedures

· Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

· Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by and in accordance with all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental company policies and government legislation/regulations.

· Adhere to the Company’s Quality System operating procedures.

· Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

· Understand fundamentals of how HVAC systems operate on commercial buildings.

· Work with and understand HVAC and Digital Control fundamentals.

Qualifications:

· Valid Driver’s license.

· Fluent in English – both written and oral.

· The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation.

· Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and at times work from heights.

· Good knowledge of the electrical trade and the Washington State Electrical Code.

· Adept at installing conduit and pulling wire

The wage would be $41.86 per hour, with 80hrs of vacation, 40hours of PTO and 40 hours of stat holidays.
