The position combines strategic account leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and oversight of complex partnerships and implementation initiatives. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional passionate about education to influence district-level and statewide initiatives and expand access to college and career readiness programs.

The K-12 Strategic Account Manager will own the growth strategy for complex school district and state-level accounts, building long-term partnerships and driving adoption across educational programs. Responsibilities are divided across strategic account development, relationship management, and internal operational execution. Develop strategic account plans: Translate regional growth priorities into multi-year strategies for complex school districts and statewide initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and accountability for measurable outcomes. Identify growth opportunities: Analyze state and district-specific needs, market conditions, education policies, and performance trends to develop personalized solutions that increase adoption and strengthen existing partnerships. Manage account planning and business reviews: Establish consistent account management processes and conduct regular business reviews to monitor performance, identify opportunities, and support long-term growth. Drive sales pipeline development: Build, maintain, and report on a robust sales pipeline, using data and market insights to prioritize high-impact opportunities and improve forecasting accuracy. Lead consultative sales engagements: Work with district leaders, superintendents, and other senior stakeholders to influence long-term adoption decisions and position educational programs within broader improvement strategies. Expand educational program adoption: Develop and execute district-level growth strategies across the AP, SAT Suite, and College & Career Readiness portfolios. Support implementation and training: Collaborate with regional teams to coordinate appropriate training, professional learning, implementation plans, and service models. Oversee strategic partnerships: Provide strategic guidance and internal coordination for major partnership agreements, ensuring implementation supports long-term growth and partner outcomes, particularly in accountability-focused states. Manage state contracts: Oversee the implementation of state contracts and associated service or support models when applicable. Build executive relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with superintendents, state agency representatives, district leaders, and other key decision-makers to strengthen partnerships and increase adoption. Collaborate across teams: Partner with regional colleagues and cross-functional teams to align policy, program, and sales strategies, maximizing growth and impact. Coach junior colleagues: Provide account strategy guidance and support to less experienced team members based on portfolio needs. Manage internal processes and projects: Use Salesforce CRM to track account activity, monitor pipeline health, manage opportunities, support forecasting, and analyze performance. Lead regional initiatives: Manage divisional or regional projects assigned by leadership, ensuring priorities are executed effectively and within required timelines. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a strategic, results-oriented account management professional with substantial experience in consultative sales, business development, or partnership management. They should be comfortable navigating complex education systems, influencing senior stakeholders, and translating market insights into sustainable growth strategies. At least 8 years of progressive experience in strategic sales, business development, strategic account management, or partnership management. Experience in K-12 education, educational technology (EdTech), K-12 solutions, or a related sector is strongly preferred. Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding growth targets across complex accounts or portfolios. Strong achievement orientation, with a track record of setting and delivering on ambitious business objectives. Experience using Salesforce CRM to manage sales pipelines, monitor performance, forecast results, and inform account strategy. Ability to develop and execute multi-year account strategies that increase product adoption and strengthen long-term partnerships. Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior-level stakeholders and influence decisions across complex organizations. Strong understanding of consultative selling, account planning, opportunity prioritization, and strategic business development. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to lead executive-level discussions and advisory sessions. Strong organizational and operational discipline, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver time-sensitive initiatives. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Bachelor’s degree required. Must reside in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, or Washington, D.C. Candidates based in Pennsylvania are preferred. Benefits: Opportunity to shape strategic partnerships with school districts and state education agencies. The chance to contribute to educational access, assessment, and college and career readiness initiatives. A strategic, relationship-driven role with opportunities to collaborate across regional and cross-functional teams. Opportunities to influence long-term growth strategies and support meaningful outcomes for education partners.
