A. Country of Citizenship

• Applicants must be citizens of countries other than Korea to be eligible for KAIST International Graduate Admissions.Individuals holding Korean citizenship are not eligible. • Applicants of Korean descent who hold foreign citizenship must meet one of the following conditions:

Submit official documentation confirming the renunciation of Korean citizenship for both the applicant and their parents. If applicable, renunciation must be completed prior to the start of the application period, along with supporting academic records.

Alternatively, applicants may qualify if they have completed their entire primary and secondary education (from elementary through high school, i.e., Grades 1 through 12) outside of Korea. In such cases, certified graduation certificates and transcripts covering all years must be provided. All years must be completed outside Korea without exception; partial completion outside Korea does not meet this requirement. C. English Language Proficiency

• Our official language of communication and instructions for international students at KAIST is English.
