Lead Data Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Data Analyst based in India. In this role, you will lead data-driven technical delivery initiatives, transforming complex customer requirements into accurate, scalable reporting solutions and actionable business insights. You will combine advanced SQL expertise with Python, Spark, and data analysis skills to develop custom reports, dashboards, data models, and platform configurations. Working closely with clients, Customer Success Managers, and Product Engineering teams, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation. You will also guide junior data analysts, coordinate cross-functional projects, and ensure that deliverables meet high standards of quality and reliability. This position offers exposure to B2B SaaS platforms, marketing technology, data integrations, and revenue operations in a collaborative, customer-focused environment. Engage directly with clients and Customer Success Managers to understand business objectives, reporting requirements, and technical challenges, translating them into clear specifications and actionable implementation plans. Lead and coordinate a team of junior data analysts, providing technical guidance, supporting problem-solving, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions. Serve as the primary bridge between customers, Customer Success, Product Engineering, and Design teams to facilitate communication, align expectations, and drive successful project execution. Design, develop, and maintain custom reports, dashboards, widgets, data models, and platform-based solutions that address customer reporting and data analysis needs. Write, analyze, debug, and optimize complex SQL queries against relational data models to deliver accurate reporting and efficient data processing. Leverage Python and Apache Spark, where appropriate, to support data transformation, advanced reporting requirements, and specialized technical solutions. Configure platform features, workflows, integrations, and reporting components according to business requirements and technical specifications. Analyze source data, data structures, existing configurations, and system dependencies to identify effective, scalable implementation approaches. Assess technical feasibility, clarify requirements, identify potential risks, and collaborate with stakeholders to define suitable solution architectures and delivery plans. Partner with Product Engineering and Design teams to investigate platform limitations, troubleshoot technical issues, document findings, and validate fixes or workarounds. Perform testing and quality assurance on reports, dashboards, widgets, data models, and configurations before delivery to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with customer expectations. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, solution notes, data-lineage records, and reusable implementation patterns to support knowledge sharing and operational efficiency. Manage multiple customer requests simultaneously, prioritize competing tasks, track progress, communicate risks, and take ownership of issues through resolution. Ensure all technical deliverables meet business objectives, customer requirements, and established quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement across the technical delivery process. Requirements A minimum of 6 years of relevant professional experience in data analytics, data engineering, technical delivery, business intelligence, or a related technical field. An engineering degree is mandatory for this position. Strong SQL expertise is essential, including the ability to write, analyze, debug, and optimize complex queries across relational databases and sophisticated data models. Good working knowledge of Python and Apache Spark, with the ability to apply them to data transformation, reporting, and specialized analytical requirements. Ability to interpret technical documentation, including data-lineage diagrams, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), database schemas, and business-process flows. Strong analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate ambiguous issues, develop hypotheses, test solutions, and document findings. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and data-related issues clearly to business stakeholders and technical teams. Proven ability to interact directly with clients, gather requirements, discuss technical approaches, manage expectations, and deliver customer-focused solutions. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder relationships, and guiding junior analysts in a technical delivery environment. Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple requests, handle competing deadlines, and maintain ownership from initial investigation through final resolution. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams. Familiarity with version-control tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket is an advantage. Exposure to cloud data platforms and technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, or Snowflake is preferred. Knowledge of marketing technology platforms and integrations, including Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, Google Ads, LinkedIn, or Eloqua, is beneficial. Experience in B2B marketing, marketing operations, revenue operations, business intelligence, SaaS platforms, data integrations, or technical support is a plus. Familiarity with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Looker, or Tableau is desirable. Availability to work the US shift, from 6:00 PM to 3:00 AM India Standard Time (IST) , is mandatory.
