Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Optimizely Solutions Architect based in Canada. This is a strategic architecture and technical leadership role focused on enterprise digital experience platforms and modern Optimizely solutions. You’ll shape scalable architectures across content, commerce, personalization, analytics, integrations, and AI-enabled experiences. Working closely with enterprise clients, you’ll translate business objectives into practical technology roadmaps and implementation strategies. You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams through complex delivery challenges while serving as a trusted technical advisor. The role also offers significant influence over AI adoption, platform modernization, solution shaping, and practice development. You’ll mentor architects and engineers while helping evolve standards, accelerators, and delivery approaches. This is an opportunity to combine deep technical expertise with consulting, innovation, and people leadership in a fully remote Canadian environment.
Design enterprise-grade Optimizely architectures that connect business objectives, technical requirements, scalability, security, performance, and maintainability. Lead technical delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives, providing direction on complex implementation challenges, feasibility, risks, and critical architectural decisions. Define architectures spanning content management, headless delivery, personalization, experimentation, analytics, commerce, and integrations with CRM, CDP, PIM, DAM, search, identity, and other enterprise platforms. Develop architecture documentation, technical specifications, solution roadmaps, estimates, proof-of-concepts, and executive-level presentations. Establish best practices for content modeling, multisite and multilingual implementations, security, performance, maintainability, and modern digital experience architectures. Design and deliver AI-enabled experiences using LLM services, Optimizely Opal, AI agents, RAG, and emerging technologies, while establishing appropriate governance, privacy, compliance, content-quality, and human-oversight controls. Identify practical AI use cases that can generate measurable value across content, marketing, experimentation, and digital experience workflows. Advise clients on technology modernization and broader MarTech ecosystems, ensuring Optimizely solutions integrate effectively with existing platforms and services. Collaborate with product, business analysis, delivery, creative, engineering, and client leadership teams to align technical decisions with business outcomes. Contribute to business development through solution shaping, client workshops, proposal development, technical discovery, and estimation activities. Stay current with the Optimizely ecosystem and emerging technologies, recommending improvements to delivery standards, accelerators, and solution offerings. Mentor architects and developers, manage a small team of direct reports, and support performance, career development, and professional growth. Requirements 10+ years of experience in enterprise web development, including at least 5 years in a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or comparable technical leadership role. Deep hands-on expertise with Optimizely CMS, including CMS 12 and/or SaaS CMS, with experience serving as lead architect on multiple enterprise implementations. Strong .NET development background, including C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, and Optimizely APIs. Experience designing headless or hybrid architectures using Optimizely Graph and/or Content Delivery API. Front-end integration experience with React, Next.js, or comparable frameworks. Strong understanding of content modeling, personalization, multisite, multilingual implementations, and enterprise digital experience platforms. Proven experience integrating CRM, commerce, CDP, PIM, DAM, search, identity, analytics, and other enterprise systems. Experience designing analytics and data solutions using platforms such as Optimizely Data Platform, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Snowflake, or BigQuery. Demonstrated experience delivering AI capabilities in production, including LLM integrations, AI agents, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). Experience with Optimizely DXP, Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based development, and modern cloud architectures. Strong understanding of solution shaping, estimation, pre-sales, technical discovery, and client-facing consulting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and architectural tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing engineering or architecture teams. Nice-to-have experience with Optimizely Commerce, CMP, Web Experimentation, Feature Experimentation, Opal, composable/MACH architectures, additional headless CMS platforms, agent frameworks, vector databases, or MCP. Relevant Optimizely, cloud architecture, or AI certifications are advantageous. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment and balance technical excellence with business priorities. Benefits Full-time, fully remote position based in Canada.
