Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Product Designer, Growth based in Canada. This is a high-impact product design role focused on accelerating user acquisition, activation, engagement, and retention. You will own end-to-end design for growth initiatives across web and mobile experiences in a fast-moving SaaS environment. The role blends product strategy, data-informed design, experimentation, research, and hands-on execution. You will partner closely with product managers, engineers, data specialists, and other stakeholders to turn insights into measurable outcomes. You’ll have significant influence over the experimentation roadmap, helping identify opportunities, test hypotheses, and scale what works. The environment values curiosity, iteration, thoughtful risk-taking, and learning from both successful and unsuccessful experiments. You’ll also be encouraged to use AI-powered tools and workflows to enhance your own productivity and product design practice.

Lead the end-to-end product design process for growth initiatives across web and mobile experiences, from discovery and ideation through delivery and iteration. Design and optimize onboarding experiences, activation loops, engagement journeys, retention initiatives, and cross-platform adoption strategies. Develop and execute experiments, including A/B tests, using hypotheses and measurable outcomes to improve key growth metrics. Use qualitative and quantitative insights to identify user needs, understand friction points, and inform product and design decisions. Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and other artifacts that communicate solutions clearly and efficiently. Partner closely with product management, engineering, data, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align design decisions with user needs and business objectives. Contribute ideas to the experimentation pipeline and share learnings from experiments to improve future growth initiatives and team practices. Conduct and incorporate user research, including interviews and usability testing, translating findings into actionable product opportunities. Raise the quality and consistency of design through critiques, feedback sessions, collaboration, and continuous refinement. Build AI-enhanced design workflows and incorporate AI tools thoughtfully into product development and personal productivity. Influence product strategy by balancing customer value, business objectives, available data, and practical delivery considerations. Requirements 6+ years of demonstrated product design experience, including significant experience designing for growth and optimizing metrics such as activation, engagement, or retention. Strong experience in B2B SaaS or comparable product environments, with the ability to understand complex user and business needs. A compelling portfolio demonstrating data-informed UX/UI design, strong visual execution, and measurable business impact. Proven ability to balance user needs with commercial objectives while delivering high-quality work efficiently. Experience designing across web and mobile platforms, with strong proficiency in Figma and modern design workflows. Hands-on experience conducting user research and usability testing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative findings into actionable insights. Strong visual design skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to clearly explain design concepts, rationale, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. A hypothesis-driven, experimental mindset and comfort working through ambiguity when data is incomplete or unavailable. Strong business acumen and the ability to think strategically about product growth, customer value, and measurable outcomes. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced startup environments where teams ship, learn, iterate, and ship again. An AI-forward approach to productivity and product thinking, including experience incorporating AI tools into your design process. Experience with CRM or similar SaaS platforms is an advantage. Familiarity with design systems and experience contributing to their evolution is a plus, with Storybook experience particularly valuable. Experience with AI-enabled workflows, agentic workflows, integrated AI tools, or platforms such as Claude is a bonus. A track record of taking thoughtful risks and developing innovative solutions that contribute to measurable growth is highly valued. Benefits Remote-first role available to team members in Canada. Flexible time off and a company-wide paid shutdown during the week between Christmas and New Year’s. A mandatory paid week off during your first week of employment to encourage a strong and healthy start. One Friday off per month, designed as a dedicated day to recharge and take care of personal priorities. Employer-paid healthcare benefits, including 100% employer-paid premiums for extended healthcare and dental coverage in Canada. RRSP matching program. Generous parental leave policy. Annual company retreat with team-building activities. Learning and development opportunities to support continued career growth. Home office setup stipend. Internet and phone allowance. Weekly Friday paydays. Opportunity to join a successful, growing SaaS organization while still having meaningful influence on product direction and business outcomes. Compensation tailored to experience, seniority, and demonstrated impact, with ranges informed by market benchmarks.
