Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Lead Product Manager, Feed ERP based in United States. This role owns the strategy, roadmap, and commercial outcomes for a suite of ERP products serving feed mills and grain businesses. You’ll shape solutions around real-world workflows spanning commodity merchandising, procurement, plant production, and delivery. Beyond managing a backlog, you’ll be accountable for product-level growth, retention, win rates, pricing, and packaging decisions. You’ll work directly with customers and industry stakeholders to uncover meaningful problems and validate solutions before investing in development. The role also combines hands-on AI experimentation, cross-functional leadership, launch strategy, and product team mentorship. It’s a high-impact opportunity for a commercially minded product leader with deep feed-industry knowledge and the confidence to lead through influence.
As Lead Product Manager, you’ll take end-to-end ownership of the Feed ERP product line, connecting customer needs, market opportunities, product strategy, engineering execution, and commercial performance. Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning Engineering, Services, Support, and Commercial teams around priorities that drive retention, cross-sell, upsell, and new-market growth. Take accountability for product-level ARR, net revenue retention, and win rate. Develop pricing and packaging recommendations, including tier structures and customer migration strategies, and present recommendations to the appropriate pricing leadership group. Translate ambiguous business objectives into clearly defined problems, strategic options, and actionable plans. Make product-level tradeoffs, influence resource allocation, and coordinate investment across related products to avoid duplication. Conduct competitive research and win/loss analysis, translating findings into roadmap, positioning, and commercial strategy adjustments. Lead the product advisory group, including agenda development, customer discussion synthesis, follow-up, and execution. Represent the product line at relevant industry events and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry stakeholders. Establish success criteria before development, validate concepts with customers using AI-assisted prototypes, and discontinue initiatives that do not meet agreed standards. Own AI-enabled product capabilities, including quality standards, failure-mode considerations, customer trust, and responsible verification. Use AI-assisted workflows to accelerate research, discovery, analysis, and prototyping while maintaining appropriate validation and quality controls. Prioritize the product backlog against the broader roadmap, defining use cases, requirements, measurable outcomes, and escalation paths for cross-functional risks. Lead tiered product launches with clear readiness gates and success criteria. Drive Sales, Services, and Support enablement through materials such as battlecards, objection handling guidance, and account executive/sales engineer readiness. Partner with Product Marketing on analyst briefings, webinars, user conference sessions, and other launch initiatives. Lead through influence rather than direct authority, resolving competing priorities and maintaining alignment around product decisions. Coach junior product managers and contribute to product hiring and interview processes. Requirements The ideal candidate combines meaningful experience in the feed and agribusiness sector with proven B2B product ownership, commercial judgment, technical fluency, and strong customer discovery capabilities. Meaningful professional experience in agribusiness, feed manufacturing, or commodity trading. Working knowledge of at least two of the following: commodity merchandising, ingredient procurement, feed plant operations, or livestock feed regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ownership of a B2B software product roadmap and business outcomes, balancing long-term strategy with effective delivery. Proven commercial judgment, with examples of pricing, packaging, win/loss analysis, or business-case work influencing business decisions. Strong customer discovery skills, with the ability to identify underlying problems rather than simply implementing requested solutions. Experience validating product concepts and defining measurable success criteria before committing engineering resources. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate problems, options, tradeoffs, and recommendations to executives, engineers, customers, and other stakeholders. Hands-on experience using AI tools for research, drafting, analysis, and prototyping, combined with sound judgment about when outputs require verification. Technical fluency and comfort discussing data models, integrations, system behavior, and detailed product requirements with development teams. Strong ability to lead and deliver results through cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority. Willingness to travel to customers and industry events. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. Experience with feed and/or ration formulation software is preferred. Familiarity with nutrition or feed-labeling regulations is preferred. Software development experience or experience managing AI- or data-driven product capabilities is a plus. Benefits Remote work opportunity within the United States. Opportunity to own the strategy and commercial performance of a specialized B2B ERP product line. High level of product ownership and influence across roadmap, pricing, packaging, and go-to-market decisions. Direct exposure to customers, industry stakeholders, engineering, commercial teams, and senior leadership. Opportunity to work with AI-enabled product capabilities and modern discovery workflows. Cross-functional environment spanning product, engineering, services, support, sales, and marketing. Opportunities to mentor junior product managers and contribute to product leadership. Exposure to the agribusiness, feed manufacturing, commodity, and healthcare technology ecosystems.
