In this role, you will contribute to risk assessment, supplier development, and sourcing strategies that improve supply continuity, quality, and cost performance. You will collaborate with commodity sourcing, engineering, supplier quality, and materials management teams to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective risk mitigation measures. Your work will support supplier qualification, localization initiatives, and continuous improvement across key industrial commodities. Combining analytical expertise with project management and stakeholder collaboration, you will help ensure suppliers meet demanding operational standards. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to a more resilient energy sector while supporting the transition toward a lower-carbon future.

Supplier Qualification and Project Management: Coordinate and manage supplier qualification projects, ensuring alignment with quality requirements, on-time delivery (OTD) targets, and cost objectives. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Collaborate with commodity sourcing leaders to identify major supply risks and develop practical de-risking opportunities within the established supply chain resilience framework. Cost Optimization and Localization: Identify and implement direct material productivity initiatives in partnership with sourcing, engineering, and supplier quality teams to reduce total landed costs and improve sourcing outcomes. Supplier Identification and Development: Work with engineering and supplier quality teams to identify and evaluate suppliers, conduct technical commodity assessments, support supplier selection, and contribute to First Piece Qualification (FPQ) activities. Safety, Quality, and Delivery Improvement: Partner with supplier teams and lean organizations to identify root causes of performance issues and implement corrective actions that improve safety, product quality, and on-time delivery. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with commodity sourcing, engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE), and Materials and Process Engineering (MPE) teams to align priorities and deliver business objectives. Data-Driven Decision-Making: Use supplier performance information, spend data, cost models, and quantitative analysis to identify risks, evaluate opportunities, and support sourcing decisions. Requirements: A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university. At least 3 years of commercial experience in sourcing, supply chain, engineering, sales, or commercial operations. Preferably, at least 2 years of experience in sourcing and/or commodity management. Experience or demonstrated capability in supplier selection, supplier development, and sourcing strategy implementation. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret spend data, supplier scorecards, cost models, and performance metrics. Effective project management skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage timelines, and deliver measurable outcomes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders. A collaborative, proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work effectively across technical and commercial functions. A commitment to improving supplier performance, strengthening supply chain resilience, and achieving quality, delivery, and cost targets. Preferred qualifications: A master's degree in finance, business, or engineering. Experience in a relevant leadership development program, such as FMP, OMDP, or CAS. Demonstrated experience in supplier qualification, technical supplier assessments, commodity sourcing, or supply chain risk mitigation. Benefits: Employment type: Full-time position. Work arrangement: Remote position, with hybrid work options indicated for certain locations. Location options: Bengaluru, Noida, or remote within the eligible hiring locations in India. Professional development: Opportunities to strengthen expertise in sourcing strategy, supplier development, project management, and supply chain resilience.
