Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Leadership Coach and Facilitator based in Canada (Remote). The Leadership Coach and Facilitator will help professionals, emerging managers, and mid-level leaders navigate career transitions, strengthen leadership capabilities, and achieve meaningful professional growth. This role combines individualized coaching, career transition support, and engaging workshop facilitation for corporate and private-sector clients across Canada. You will design practical, human-centered learning experiences that build leadership presence, improve communication, and strengthen team effectiveness. Through interactive virtual sessions and occasional in-person workshops, you will create inclusive environments where participants can develop skills and apply new insights to real workplace challenges. The position is ideal for an experienced coach, facilitator, or learning and development professional who values modern adult learning, technology, and authentic human connection. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver impactful coaching and learning experiences that help individuals and organizations thrive.

Deliver individualized career transition and outplacement coaching, helping professionals navigate career changes, explore opportunities, and develop practical strategies for their next steps. Provide one-on-one leadership coaching to emerging and mid-level leaders, focusing on leadership presence, strategic communication, emotional intelligence, team dynamics, and effective management practices. Support clients in preparing for new leadership responsibilities, navigating difficult conversations, strengthening professional confidence, and managing career transitions. Conduct structured introductory sessions to establish trust, understand individual goals, identify development needs, and create clear, actionable coaching plans. Design and facilitate engaging, interactive workshops and group learning sessions for corporate teams across Canada, primarily through virtual platforms, with occasional on-site delivery. Apply modern adult learning principles to create practical learning experiences that encourage participation, open dialogue, psychological safety, inclusion, and real-world skill development. Adapt facilitation approaches to different audiences, learning preferences, organizational contexts, and participant needs. Use digital collaboration tools, virtual meeting platforms, and interactive whiteboards to enhance engagement and support effective learning outcomes. Collaborate with internal People and Culture teams to coordinate workshop preparation, technology requirements, participant engagement, and post-session follow-up. Incorporate feedback, reflection, and continuous improvement into coaching and facilitation practices to enhance participant outcomes. Support a culture of accountability, empathy, resilience, mutual respect, and ongoing professional development. Maintain a professional, adaptable, and client-centered approach while managing multiple coaching engagements and facilitation assignments. Requirements: Three to five or more years of relevant experience in mid-to-senior management, learning and development, talent development, professional coaching, or consulting within the private sector. Demonstrated experience supporting professionals through career transitions, leadership development, onboarding, or outplacement initiatives. Strong coaching capabilities, with the ability to help clients build leadership presence, improve communication, strengthen emotional intelligence, and navigate workplace challenges. Proven experience facilitating interactive, inclusive, and engaging workshops, corporate training sessions, or group learning experiences. Formal coaching credentials, such as International Coaching Federation (ICF) ACC or PCC accreditation, active progress toward ICF certification, or equivalent formal leadership coaching experience. Strong understanding of modern adult learning principles and the ability to translate concepts into practical, engaging learning activities. Confidence using virtual collaboration and facilitation tools, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, digital whiteboards, CRM platforms, and Microsoft 365 environments. Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish trust and create psychologically safe learning environments. A human-centered, empathetic, and adaptable coaching style, combined with strong organizational skills and a commitment to measurable participant outcomes. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, respond constructively to feedback, and continuously improve coaching and facilitation practices. Professional proficiency in both French and English is a strong asset, particularly for engagements with clients across Canada. Experience administering or debriefing assessment tools such as EQ-i 2.0, DiSC, Insights, or 360-degree feedback surveys is an advantage. Familiarity with learning and development frameworks, including the 70/20/10 model, and experience designing interactive learning programs are desirable. A collaborative mindset, strong professional integrity, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping people develop and succeed. Applicants should be prepared to submit a brief, approximately two-minute introductory video alongside their résumé, explaining their interest in leadership transitions and how they maintain engagement and inclusion in virtual workshops. Benefits: Work arrangement: Remote, with opportunities to deliver virtual coaching and workshops to clients across Canada and occasional on-site engagements. Employment type: Independent contractor. Professional impact: Opportunity to help professionals navigate career transitions, develop leadership capabilities, and achieve meaningful career growth. Varied engagements: Work with emerging managers, mid-level leaders, professionals, and corporate teams across a range of organizational contexts. Professional development: Opportunity to apply and expand coaching, facilitation, leadership development, and modern adult learning expertise. Technology-enabled delivery: Use contemporary virtual learning and collaboration tools to create engaging and accessible development experiences. Collaborative environment: Work alongside internal teams to coordinate and deliver effective coaching and workshop programs. Values-driven culture: Contribute to an environment centered on commitment, character, competency, mutual respect, trust, continuous improvement, and compassion. Compensation: Salary, hourly rate, contractor fees, and payment terms are not specified in the available job description.
