We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Operations Analyst to support and optimize the day-to-day operations of an in-house legal team within a fast-paced technology environment. In this role, you will manage contract workflows, assist with outside counsel billing, and help maintain the legal technology systems that enable efficient business operations. You will collaborate with teams across Sales, Finance, Product, Engineering, and other functions to streamline processes and improve visibility into legal activities. Leveraging contract lifecycle management platforms and AI-assisted tools, you will contribute to more accurate contract reviews, smarter automation, and improved operational efficiency. This remote opportunity offers hands-on ownership of key workflows, exposure to emerging legal technologies, and opportunities to develop expertise in AI-powered legal operations. You will play an important role in strengthening processes, supporting stakeholders, and helping the legal function scale effectively.
Manage contract intake, routing, approval workflows, and signature coordination, ensuring requests progress efficiently and stakeholders receive timely status updates. Review contracts against established playbooks and use AI-assisted tools to identify nonstandard provisions, potential risks, and issues requiring attorney review. Support outside counsel billing operations by reviewing invoices, monitoring compliance with billing guidelines, tracking accruals, and maintaining accurate spending records. Administer legal technology platforms, including contract lifecycle management and legal spend management systems, by maintaining workflows, assisting users, and ensuring data accuracy. Use, evaluate, and improve AI-assisted workflows for contract intake, drafting, and review by refining prompts, testing outputs, and incorporating approved playbooks and attorney feedback. Assist with pilots of new AI tools and use cases, collecting stakeholder feedback and monitoring accuracy, adoption, and time savings. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, contract templates, playbooks, and knowledge resources to support consistent legal processes and stakeholder self-service. Train and guide internal stakeholders on legal technology platforms, established procedures, and responsible AI usage. Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking contract volumes, turnaround times, workflow performance, and outside counsel spending, translating data into actionable insights. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on systems integrations, workflow enhancements, and process improvement initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency. Provide day-to-day support for legal operations requests, helping colleagues navigate legal tools, understand contract status, and follow established procedures. Maintain accurate legal operations data and documentation while identifying opportunities to improve reporting, automation, and overall service delivery. Requirements At least 3 years of experience in legal operations, contract management, paralegal work, or a related operational role, ideally within a SaaS or technology company. Hands-on experience with a contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, such as Ironclad, Icertis, Agiloft, or DocuSign CLM. Practical experience supporting contract intake, review coordination, approval workflows, and signature processes. Demonstrated experience using AI tools for legal or operational tasks, including writing and refining prompts, evaluating output accuracy, and improving results through iteration. Strong organizational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing requests in a dynamic environment. Sound professional judgment, including the ability to follow established procedures, recognize exceptions, and escalate questions or issues when appropriate. Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively, manage expectations, and follow through on responsibilities within a distributed team. A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Familiarity with legal technology platforms such as Ironclad, Wordsmith, Brightflag, or comparable tools is preferred. Knowledge of outside counsel billing, invoice review, accrual tracking, and legal spend reporting is an advantage. Experience with Salesforce, Zip, or other business systems integrated with legal workflows is beneficial. Experience maintaining dashboards, reports, contract playbooks, standard operating procedures, templates, or training materials is preferred. Previous experience supporting a small in-house legal team is an asset. Familiarity with SaaS agreements, commercial order forms, and commercial open-source licensing is advantageous. Experience testing, evaluating, or improving AI-assisted workflows is preferred. A proactive, curious, and adaptable mindset, with an interest in legal technology, process improvement, and the responsible use of AI.
