Overview
Liechtenstein’s Scholarship Office accepts electronic applications for needs-assessed state education support in the form of non-repayable scholarships and repayable student loans for eligible residents in recognized education or training.
Complete scholarship details
Recognized costs can include school or tuition fees, accommodation, meals, teaching materials and travel; a contribution toward living costs may also be recognized under the statutory rules. The award amount is calculated individually from eligible education costs and the applicant’s financial circumstances, with family contributions considered in specified cases. Training support can be granted for up to one year per application, with follow-up applications required for continued support.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants generally must have completed compulsory schooling, be suitable for the chosen recognized education or training, and have regular residence in Liechtenstein at the start of the funded training for at least three uninterrupted years or five years in total where residence was interrupted. Applicants must not be receiving an IV pension due to total disability. Part-time students and people who are working may also apply; each case is assessed individually.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Official Scholarship Office page checked during this run. Applications are electronic and require eID; applicants are advised to submit complete documents promptly after the training year starts and no later than one year after the start. No universal award amount or fixed annual deadline was published, so none is stated.
Job and Scholarship is the discovery and verification layer. Confirm eligibility, dates, salary/funding and application instructions on the original source before submitting anything.
