The payment is available to both state-funded and self-funded students in specified priority pedagogy routes. The 2026 main application window is 1–30 September and the supplementary window is 5–25 October. Recipients must submit an employment agreement with a municipality, municipal school or state school and, after graduation, work at least 0.7 FTE in a qualifying teaching role for at least three years within five years or repay the support.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible applicants are students in Lithuanian higher education who are in the final year of a first-cycle pedagogy programme, final-year students taking a pedagogical minor alongside a non-pedagogy first-cycle programme, or students in pedagogical professional studies, in a 2026–2029 priority specialisation and with the required employment agreement.
