Overview

LuxAid BRIDGES has a €2 million 2026 call budget for SEEDLING and full transdisciplinary research proposals linked to development cooperation, humanitarian action, sustainable development and poverty eradication.

Complete grant details

LuxAid BRIDGES is a joint programme of FNR, the Directorate for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs of Luxembourg's foreign ministry, and LuxDev. It supports Research Luxembourg actors in transdisciplinary research relevant to development cooperation and humanitarian action, building partnerships for sustainable development and poverty eradication. The 2026 call budget is €2 million. Both SEEDLING and full proposals close on the same date. Full projects can run two to three years, with the possibility of covering a fourth year for a PhD student where applicable.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must meet the current LuxAid BRIDGES rules for eligible Research Luxembourg actors and the required partnership/project scope in development cooperation or humanitarian action. Applications must be submitted through the FNR Online Grant Management System and include the required project-description form and principal investigator CV.

Tips for this grant

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Use the official FNR call documents and prepare both the Project Description PDF and PI CV before submission.
  2. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  3. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  4. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  5. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Verified against the current FNR LuxAid BRIDGES instrument and launch pages. The call launched 4 June 2026, has a €2 million budget, and closes 21 October 2026 at 14:00 CET for both SEEDLING and full proposals. Because the official timezone label conflicts with Luxembourg's summer-time calendar on that date, deadline_date is stored without an inferred UTC time. FNR explicitly requires submission via its Online Grant Management System.
