Overview

Luxembourg's AideFi scheme is accepting winter-semester applications for eligible higher-education students through 30 November 2026. Support can combine grants, an optional State-guaranteed student loan and eligible study-fee support.

Complete scholarship details

AideFi can include a basic grant, mobility grant, social-criteria grant, family grant, optional student loan and an additional amount for eligible study-related fees. The basic loan is EUR 3,250 per semester for full-time study and half that for part-time study. Eligible study-fee costs may receive up to EUR 3,800 per academic year, split 50% as a grant and 50% as a loan when the loan is requested. Applications are submitted separately for each semester through MyGuichet.lu.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be enrolled full-time or part-time in an eligible higher-education study cycle; part-time students normally need at least 15 ECTS per semester or equivalent. Detailed residence, nationality, worker/family-member and non-resident conditions apply. Non-resident applicants must first pursue financial aid available in their country of residence.

Tips for this scholarship

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  2. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  3. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  4. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Official Guichet.lu page updated 29 July 2026 and the 3 August 2026 winter notice were checked. The winter 2026 application route is open through 30 November 2026. No universal grant amount is stated because grant amounts depend on applicant circumstances.
