This is a full-time, remote opportunity. We are seeking an experienced digital analytics professional to lead tagging governance, measurement strategy, and data quality across a sophisticated retail analytics ecosystem. In this role, you will ensure that digital tracking implementations deliver accurate, consistent, and reliable data to support advanced analytics and informed business decisions. You will oversee tagging standards, implementation quality, and vendor relationships while collaborating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and clients. Your expertise will help establish scalable measurement frameworks, strengthen privacy and consent compliance, and improve confidence in analytics outputs. You will also shape the future of data collection by evaluating emerging technologies, including server-side tagging and modern analytics architectures. This is an opportunity to combine technical leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration in a remote-first environment where data integrity drives business value.
Tagging Governance and Data Quality Oversee the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of tags across management platforms such as Google Tag Manager, Adobe, and Tealium. Validate data layers, manage releases, monitor tagging defects, and coordinate quality assurance, debugging, and troubleshooting activities. Establish and enforce tagging governance frameworks, implementation standards, documentation practices, and quality controls. Coordinate internal and external audits to verify that digital tools are correctly tagged and consistently capture reliable data. Monitor privacy and consent requirements, ensuring tagging practices align with applicable policies and compliance standards. Manage day-to-day relationships with vendors, developers, and technical partners to investigate discrepancies and resolve implementation issues. Measurement Strategy and Analytics Define measurement requirements, develop detailed tagging specifications, and establish consistent KPI definitions across internal teams, vendors, and clients. Design and optimize customer journey instrumentation to ensure digital interactions are captured accurately and support meaningful business insights. Develop and prioritize tagging initiatives, implementation roadmaps, and measurement improvements according to business objectives. Train and enable stakeholder teams on tagging standards, analytics implementation practices, and data quality expectations. Communicate data quality performance, defect trends, and improvement recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients. Coordinate analytics implementation projects, manage timelines and dependencies, and ensure deliverables meet established quality and budget expectations. Future-State Architecture and Technical Innovation Evaluate server-side tagging, evolving data collection architectures, and emerging technologies to improve measurement scalability and reliability. Assess build-versus-buy opportunities for tag management and data collection solutions. Support the evolution of privacy and consent architectures while balancing business requirements, regulatory expectations, and data quality. Identify opportunities to modernize analytics infrastructure and improve measurement capabilities across digital platforms. Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with analytics leadership and product development teams to define strategic priorities, develop roadmaps, and align tagging initiatives with broader business goals. Champion a culture of data quality, accountability, and analytical discipline across the organization. Lead cross-functional discussions to clarify requirements, document decisions, and prioritize implementation work. Provide authoritative guidance on tagging standards and resolve conflicts between business objectives and data governance requirements.
