Full job description
At Neighbor, we’re building the largest hyperlocal marketplace the world has ever seen. We’ve raised over $75 million from top-tier investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and the CEOs of DoorDash, StockX, and Uber. Our marketplace is already flourishing in all 50 states and we’re just getting started!
About the Role
As a Marketplace Growth Associate, you’ll work with Neighbor’s hosts: the commercial and residential property owners who list their storage and parking space on our marketplace. Hosts are the supply side of everything we do. The more easily renters can find a host’s space, the more that host earns and the faster the marketplace grows in every city we serve. You’ll be one of the people making that happen, one host at a time.
Most of your day (50–75%) is outbound phone calls with hosts. On each call, you’ll help a host make their listing stronger and easier to find: setting up a Google Maps pin, tightening photos and descriptions, getting the price right, and building up reviews. The goal is to turn their space into steady, growing income. The rest of your time is operations: running the signage program, tracking results and finding ways to make the whole thing work better. This role fits you if you like being on the phone, you can manage a high volume of work on your own, and you tend to notice when a process could run better.
Schedule and run several dozen calls a day with hosts to create Google Maps pins for their Neighbor listings Improve pin quality and performance over time with better photos, descriptions and review requests Pitch hosts on Neighbor signage, send customized signs to those who opt in, and track how each sign performs Coach high-potential hosts on smart pricing, strong photos, reviews and clear descriptions so their listings attract more renters Be Neighbor’s front line with hosts, building relationships that keep them active and growing on the platform Spot bottlenecks in our growth programs and propose fixes that make them faster and more effective
Required 1+ years of work experience Strong attention to detail Proven ability to communicate with customers professionally and in a neighborly way, especially over the phone Ability to follow a process while spotting ways to improve it Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of work without significant oversight Preferred Experience in a high-volume phone role (customer service, inside sales, SDR or similar) Interest in local SEO, marketplaces or marketing Experience building AI workflows Comfort with a fast-moving startup pace and a drive to grow your role
Stock options Medical, dental, and vision insurance Generous PTO 11 paid company holidays 401(k) plan Infant care leave On-site gym/showers open 24/7
