The ServiceMidCentral District provides a regional tertiary Cancer Treatment Service, delivering:Medical OncologyHaematologyRadiation OncologyCare is provided to a large population across the following Te Whatu Ora | Health New Zealand districts:MidCentralTaranakiWhanganuiHawke's BayThis broad catchment ensures exposure to a diverse and complex oncology caseload, with strong multidisciplinary engagement. The RoleAs one of three Medical Oncology Advanced Trainees, you will primarily work in outpatient clinics, which form a major component of the role. You will:Participate in local oncology clinicsShare responsibility for regional outreach clinicsProvide inpatient support in collaboration with:Medical OncologistsA Medical RegistrarHouse OfficersThis structure allows for well‑supervised, progressive responsibility and comprehensive training across outpatient and inpatient oncology care.
