As a Prime Government Contractor for Government Publishing Office (GPO), we are currently searching for a talented Mid-Level Oracle Database Administrator in Washington, DC.

About the Job

This position requires creating and managing standalone Oracle databases proficiently. Also, this position requires the ability to identify and triage issues, perform server maintenance, execute software installations and patching, maintain High Availability (HA) systems and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols. Need to have the ability to work independently, collaborate within and across division teams, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management.

Job Requirements

  • Provisioning &Config: Designs + automates IaC
  • Backup/Restore: Designs policy; tests DR/PITR
  • Patching: Plans & leads cycles
  • Performance Tuning: Systematic tuning w/ metrics
  • High Availability (HA) / Disaster Recovery (DR): Implements & tests failovers
  • Monitoring & Alerting: Tune alerts; build dashboards
  • Security & Compliance: Implements encryption/auditing
  • Scripting & Automation: Robust automation/IaC
  • Incident Management: Leads troubleshooting & RCA

Required Skills

  • U.S Citizen (this is a must)
  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Oracle.
  • Professional Oracle certifications required
  • Experience in: MariaDB, Oracle, Oracle Grid, Oracle RMAN and MS Access.
