Mission Development Lead, Aircraft

Swarm Aero is redefining air power, building the largest swarming UAV and the most versatile swarming aircraft network in the world. The company is moving quickly to launch the first aircraft designed specifically for swarming, as well as the Command & Control software to mobilize swarms of thousands of heterogeneous autonomous assets and empower human operators to achieve superhuman results. The team has created and exited multiple startups, negotiated defense deals worth billions of dollars, and designed and built 30+ novel aircraft, with aerospace experience from Scaled Composites, Airbus, Archer Aviation, Blue Origin, and Boom Supersonic. The Opportunity As the Aircraft Commercial and Civil Development Lead, you will carry Gamera into commercial and civil markets. Long range, heavy payload, low cost per flight hour, and autonomy that scales is a combination those operators have never been offered. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, represent their circumstances internally as you interface closely with engineering teams, and shape and capture opportunities. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Own your portfolio from day one. You will be handed real responsibility immediately. Rapid learning, iteration, and tenacity are what turn that into results.
• Understand customers from first principles. Sit with them, learn their missions and constraints the way they experience them, and become the person internally who can represent that accurately.
• Stay technical. You will be directly involved in product, working closely with Swarm engineers to build for your customers' operational needs. The best opportunities get found by people who understand both the customer and the aircraft.
• Find and shape opportunities. Identify them, evaluate them, decide what is worth pursuing, and bring ideas to the rest of the team.
• Write the things that move decisions. Bring structure to complex pools of information and turn it into white papers, proposals, presentations, and analysis that land with internal and external audiences.
• Organize and scale. As the company and your portfolio grow, so will your role in leading mission execution across many parallel threads. You will manage complex accounts and relationships efficiently and precisely. WHAT YOU'VE DONE
