MMoCRA supports credit-seeking and degree-seeking mobility in climate resilience, energy, agrifood systems, water, critical raw materials and digital fields. Master's mobility can include credit-seeking periods of 4 to 23 months or degree-seeking study of 24 months; doctoral mobility can include credit-seeking periods of 6 to 35 months or degree-seeking study of 36 months. Student awards cover one round-trip ticket, installation and subsistence costs, with EUR 890 per month for Master's students and EUR 1,230 per month for doctoral candidates. Host institutions also cover student services including insurance and participation costs including tuition fees and research activities from the institutional contribution.
Eligibility requirements
Student applicants must be nationals of and resident in an eligible African country at the time of application. Target Group 1 covers students linked to the five African partner universities; Target Group 2 covers students registered, admitted or graduated from other African higher-education institutions. Niger is explicitly listed under Western Africa for Target Group 2. Mobility must be to an eligible host in Uganda, Kenya, Namibia or South Africa and to a country different from the scholarship holder's nationality and residence. Applicants cannot have already benefited from a scholarship under Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme projects selected for 2022–2027 and cannot receive another EU-funded scholarship for the same activity.
