Overview
Mauritanian nationals resident in Mauritania are eligible under MMoCRA Target Group 2 for fully funded master’s and doctoral academic mobility in climate-resilience fields at African consortium universities.
Complete scholarship details
MMoCRA is an EU-funded Intra-Africa Academic Mobility programme. The official first-cohort guidelines list Mauritania among eligible Western African Target Group 2 countries. Master’s support is EUR 890 per month and doctoral support EUR 1,230 per month for the applicable mobility duration; travel, installation, subsistence, insurance, tuition and research participation costs are also covered under the programme rules.
Eligibility requirements
Student applicants must be nationals of and resident in an eligible African country. Mauritania is explicitly listed under Target Group 2. Applicants must be registered/admitted in or have obtained a degree from an African higher education institution and satisfy the requirements of the selected master’s or doctoral mobility route. Mobility must be to an eligible host country different from the applicant’s country of nationality and residence.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the official MMoCRA scholarship page and first-cohort application guidelines. The guidelines dated 31 July list Mauritania as an eligible Target Group 2 country and state funding amounts. The guidelines’ original call text says 15 September at 17:00 EAT, but also directs applicants to the website for the deadline; the current official scholarship page now displays 20 September 2026. Because that updated page does not state a timezone, the record stores a date-only deadline rather than inventing a clock time.
