Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mobile Developer based in Canada. Join an innovative B2B SaaS environment focused on transforming how property insurance and restoration professionals manage claims through modern digital solutions. As a Mobile Developer, you will design, build, and maintain high-quality iOS and Android applications that deliver reliable, intuitive user experiences. You will collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to bring new features from concept to production and continuously improve their real-world performance. AI-powered development tools will be central to your workflow, giving you the opportunity to shape how modern engineering practices evolve. You will also take ownership of mobile reliability, automated delivery pipelines, and ongoing technical improvements. With a remote-first culture, flexible working arrangements, and a strong emphasis on trust and professional growth, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on products used by professionals across North America.

Design, develop, test, and release new features for iOS and Android applications, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams throughout the development lifecycle. Integrate AI-powered development tools, including coding assistants and agent-based solutions, into daily workflows for planning, implementation, testing, code review, and debugging. Take end-to-end ownership of features after release by monitoring performance, crash rates, usage analytics, and user impact, then making improvements based on real-world feedback. Continuously improve application quality by reducing technical debt, strengthening test coverage, optimizing performance, and enhancing reliability. Build, maintain, and optimize mobile CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and application releases, improving deployment efficiency and consistency. Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services while collaborating with backend engineers to define API contracts and optimize performance. Participate in code reviews, critically evaluate AI-generated code, and uphold engineering standards, maintainability, security, and consistency. Investigate and resolve production incidents promptly by using monitoring, crash reporting, performance analytics, and debugging tools to identify root causes. Identify technical risks early, communicate potential issues proactively, and contribute to a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and collaborative problem-solving. Requirements At least five years of professional mobile development experience, including designing, developing, and shipping production applications for both iOS and Android. Strong proficiency in Swift and Kotlin, with working knowledge of Objective-C and Java for maintaining and improving legacy codebases. An established AI-first development approach, with practical experience using AI coding assistants and agentic tools to improve planning, coding, testing, reviewing, and delivery. Candidates should be able to explain how these tools have improved their development workflows. A strong sense of ownership and accountability, including experience monitoring applications after release, analyzing production performance, and iterating on features based on real-world results. Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or automating mobile CI/CD pipelines using tools and practices such as GitHub Actions, Fastlane, automated testing, and app store release automation. Familiarity with mobile observability and monitoring tools, including crash reporting, performance monitoring, and application analytics. Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams to deliver reliable, performant mobile experiences. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive approach to raising risks, sharing technical insights, and working effectively across cross-functional teams. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills, combined with a commitment to code quality, application reliability, and continuous improvement. Nice to have: Backend or web development experience, as well as experience building offline-first mobile applications designed for field environments with limited or unreliable connectivity. Benefits Competitive compensation: Annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $135,000 CAD. Remote-first flexibility: Work remotely from Canada, with access to a collaboration hub in Kitchener, Ontario, and a hybrid option for those who prefer in-person collaboration. Flexible working hours: Manage your schedule with autonomy and flexibility. Self-managed vacation: Benefit from a vacation policy built around trust, flexibility, and personal responsibility. Meaningful ownership: Take responsibility for operational improvements and technical initiatives that directly influence product quality and business outcomes. Modern technology environment: Work with progressive development tools, AI-powered coding assistants, mobile automation, and contemporary engineering practices. Professional development: Access opportunities to expand your technical expertise, learn new technologies, and advance your career. Collaborative culture: Work alongside product, design, and engineering professionals in a fast-moving, thoughtful, and supportive environment. Trust and transparency: Join a workplace that values autonomy, open communication, accountability, and work-life balance. Inclusive workplace: Equal opportunity employment with accessibility accommodations available throughout the hiring process.
