Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Momentum Training Specialist based in the United States. We are seeking an experienced Momentum Training Specialist to develop and deliver engaging, effective training solutions for a federal financial management system built on the Momentum ERP platform. In this remote role, you will support users of the Department of Veterans Affairs’ integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System (iFAMS), helping them navigate system releases, operational updates, and evolving business processes. You will design eLearning courses, instructor-led sessions, blended learning experiences, interactive simulations, and practical job aids tailored to user needs. Working closely with subject matter experts, functional analysts, and government stakeholders, you will translate complex system functionality into accessible, actionable learning content. Your expertise in instructional design and digital learning tools will help strengthen user readiness, system adoption, and operational effectiveness. This opportunity is ideal for a training professional who thrives in a structured, mission-driven federal environment and can manage multiple deliverables against demanding release schedules.

Develop and deliver eLearning, instructor-led training, and blended learning programs for federal financial systems, ideally using Momentum or Oracle platforms. Design and produce interactive training materials, simulations, job aids, and instructional resources aligned with system releases and operational changes. Use instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, or comparable frameworks to analyze training needs and create effective learning solutions. Collaborate with subject matter experts, functional analysts, and government stakeholders to validate content, gather requirements, and ensure training accuracy. Create engaging digital learning content using Articulate 360, Storyline, Camtasia, and other relevant authoring tools. Coordinate multiple training deliverables, priorities, and deadlines in alignment with implementation and release schedules. Support organizational change management and communications activities to prepare users for system updates and process changes. Incorporate accessibility standards and learning management system requirements into training development and delivery, as applicable. Participate in in-person meetings within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, as needed. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline and at least eight years of applicable professional experience, consistent with the Federal Financial Management Quality Service Management Office (FM QSMO) Training Specialist II requirement. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, and blended training programs for enterprise or federal financial management systems. Experience with Momentum ERP or Oracle financial systems is strongly preferred. Proficiency with Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, and Camtasia for developing interactive and multimedia learning materials. Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and methodologies, including ADDIE, SAM, or similar approaches. Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and functional subject matter experts and translate complex information into clear, user-friendly training content. Strong project management, organization, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet release-driven deadlines. Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements, learning management systems such as the VA Talent Management System (TMS), and federal financial management processes—including budget execution, accounts payable and receivable, procurement, and general ledger—is an advantage. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain the required Public Trust clearance following a VA background investigation, at Tier 2 or Tier 4 depending on the position’s risk designation. Must reside in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area or Austin, Texas, to attend in-person meetings as required. The position is primarily remote, with limited local travel. Benefits: Annual salary: $95,000–$105,000. Employment type: Full-time. Work arrangement: Primarily remote, with occasional in-person meetings as required. Travel: Less than 5%; local meetings only, with no temporary duty travel (TDY) expected or funded. Mission-driven work: Contribute to training and adoption initiatives supporting a major federal financial management system. Professional impact: Apply instructional design and digital learning expertise to improve user readiness, system adoption, and operational performance.
