Overview
Monaco’s 2026–2027 government study-scholarship scheme supports eligible Monegasque students and specified long-term residents or family categories with means-tested help toward recognized education and study costs.
Complete scholarship details
The Government of Monaco has opened the 2026–2027 study-scholarship service through MonGuichet. The scholarship is a state contribution toward eligible study, professional or technical education costs under the current regulations. Award values are calculated from the applicant’s circumstances and eligible costs; the Government does not publish one universal scholarship amount. Applications, including incomplete applications, must be transmitted by 14:00 French time on the last Friday of September. For 2026 that date is 25 September, which is 12:00 UTC while Monaco/France observe CEST.
Eligibility requirements
Eligible categories in the current regulation include Monegasque students; a foreign spouse of a Monegasque; specified descendants or dependants of a Monegasque who meet residence conditions; specified dependants or orphans of qualifying public-sector agents; and foreign nationals who have resided continuously in Monaco for at least 10 years. The regulation also defines eligible recognized study routes and age conditions; for a first higher-education application, the applicant is generally under 28 subject to the detailed rules.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the 21 August 2026 Journal de Monaco notice and the 2026 ministerial scholarship regulation. The official rule gives 14:00 French time on the last Friday of September; in 2026 that is 25 September, normalized from CEST to 12:00 UTC. No universal award value or 'fully funded' label is claimed.
