Montenegro’s Ministry of Education, Science and Innovation will award 450 non-repayable scholarships to high-performing undergraduate and postgraduate students for the 2026–2027 study year.

The 450 awards are distributed across natural sciences, technical/technological sciences, medical sciences, agriculture, social sciences, humanities, students with disabilities and 100 places for shortage teaching occupations. The scholarship is non-repayable and paid in ten equal monthly installments. The official competition does not state one monetary scholarship amount. Applications are accepted from 1 October through 31 October 2026.
Eligibility requirements
The standard route is for second- and later-year students who are enrolling the relevant semester for the first time, have not lost a study year or changed study programme, have passed all previous-year exams and have an average grade of at least 9.00. Separate shortage-occupation places can use a lower average under the call. Montenegro citizens studying abroad may apply subject to the listed documentation. A recipient of another scholarship awarded by a different Montenegro government ministry is not eligible for this scholarship.
