The Mundus MAPP Consortium says applications for the 2027–2029 cohort are expected to open on 1 September 2026 and that applicants seeking financial aid must submit by 1 December 2026 at 23:59 CET. EMJM scholarships are available to outstanding applicants from within and outside the EU for the 24-month programme. The EMJM scholarship uses a EUR 1,400 monthly unit cost, up to EUR 33,600 over 24 months, and includes a full tuition-fee waiver. Separately, the consortium will offer one Institutional Scholarship per study track with a 50% tuition-fee waiver at the Year 1 and Year 2 institutions and no stipend. Scholarship interest is indicated within the programme application; there is no separate scholarship application. The consortium also purchases health insurance meeting EACEA minimum requirements for all enrolled students. It explicitly states that the study visit, winter school, and specified travel/visa costs remain payable by students.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet Mundus MAPP admission requirements. For all tracks, candidates need a Bachelor’s degree comprising at least three years at a recognized higher-education institution, normally at least a 2.1/Upper Second and GPA of at least 3.17/4.0 or equivalent. Social-science or equivalent backgrounds are normally preferred; the programme states that candidates with Bachelor’s degrees in Natural Sciences or Engineering are not eligible. Final-year applicants may apply but must successfully graduate by August 2027. English-language evidence or an applicable published waiver is required. Applicants choose one mobility track. EMJM scholarships are awarded to the highest-ranked eligible applicants; people who already received an Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Scholarship cannot receive another EMJM scholarship.
