With extensive hands-on work, independent project ownership, and collaboration with clients, no two assignments will be exactly alike. This opportunity is ideal for a technically versatile professional who enjoys travel, customer interaction, and bringing complex IT environments to life.
Design, deploy, configure, and maintain network and systems infrastructure across multiple hotel and resort locations, ensuring reliable performance and operational continuity. Lead end-to-end technical project delivery, including network provisioning, server installation, workstation configuration, and implementation of hospitality-specific applications. Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server environments, Windows desktop systems, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP. Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, including platforms such as Datto and Veeam, and assist with recovery planning and execution. Install, configure, and troubleshoot VoIP and unified communications systems, including SIP protocols, Quality of Service (QoS), and voice network configurations. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, printers, UPS units, IP KVM switches, and other IT hardware and peripherals. Produce and maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, implementation records, and standard operating procedures. Coordinate project schedules, travel logistics, client communications, and on-site activities to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within established deadlines. Provide responsive technical support and customer service, adapting to client requirements and resolving infrastructure issues professionally. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including holidays, and provide after-hours support when required to meet client needs. Requirements: Demonstrated experience in network engineering, systems administration, IT infrastructure implementation, or a related technical field, with the ability to manage deployments across multiple client locations. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server (2012–2022) and Windows 10/11, including Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, and DHCP administration. Solid networking knowledge covering Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, VLANs, TCP/IP, routing, firewall configuration, and wired and wireless infrastructure, preferably involving HP or Cisco equipment. Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Intune, and virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V. Familiarity with hospitality technology environments, including property management systems such as Opera, POS platforms, IPTV, PABX telephony, key card systems, and building management applications. Understanding of IT security best practices, PCI DSS requirements, endpoint protection, RMM and MDR solutions, and antivirus technologies. Experience implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions, preferably using Datto, Veeam, or comparable platforms. Knowledge of VoIP and unified communications, including SIP, VLAN configuration, QoS, and troubleshooting voice connectivity. Ability to install and troubleshoot servers, workstations, printers, UPS units, IP KVM switches, and related hardware. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills, combined with a customer-focused approach and the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and colleagues. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to coordinate travel, manage multiple projects, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines independently. Willingness and ability to travel at least 75% of the time throughout the United States by air or road, depending on project location. Residence within approximately one hour of a major airport is required, with a preference for candidates based in the Central United States. Availability to work a typical Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, with flexibility for client-driven after-hours work and participation in a rotating on-call schedule, including holidays.
