NRCT and Korea's NRF are accepting proposals for a short-term researcher exchange supporting Thai researchers to conduct 20–30 days of joint research in the Republic of Korea during January–August 2027.
Full job description
The programme supports up to three Thai researcher awards for short research stays connected to ongoing research, overseas data collection or the development of Thailand–Korea research networks. NRCT covers round-trip economy airfare from Bangkok to the Republic of Korea for Thai awardees, while NRF provides KRW 350,000 per day for living and domestic travel costs in Korea. Thai researchers are responsible for their own international travel insurance.
Requirements & qualifications
The Thai applicant must arrange a Korean research host affiliated with a government institution before applying. The proposed visit must support research or analysis/data collection connected to research underway in Thailand, or help establish a Thailand–Korea research collaboration. Applicants must follow the official NRCT/NRIIS call requirements and obtain home-institution endorsement.
