Overview
Haitian citizens or permanent legal residents who secure admission to an eligible AUWCL LL.M. can compete for a Spring 2027 OAS–AUWCL scholarship providing a 50% tuition waiver.
Complete scholarship details
The current OAS–AUWCL PAEC call covers the LL.M. in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and the LL.M. in International Arbitration and Business Law. Spring 2027 residential applications close 1 November 2026, while hybrid and online applications close 30 November 2026. The scholarship provides a 50% tuition waiver. The remaining tuition, travel, mandatory university fees, books, health insurance, graduation costs, visa costs and other living/study costs are the recipient's responsibility.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be admitted to an eligible AUWCL LL.M., hold a JD from an ABA-accredited US law school or a first law degree from a foreign law school with equivalent standards, and be a citizen or permanent legal resident of an active OAS member state other than the United States. Haiti is an OAS member state. English-language programmes require the stated English-proficiency standard; the Spanish Human Rights programme does not require English proficiency.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
