Job Overview

We are currently seeking two experienced and motivated Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) to join a community service across the West Midlands. This role involves working with children of all ages in a range of community settings, providing assessment and intervention for speech, language, and communication needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for Band 6 or Band 7 therapists who are confident working across varied paediatric caseloads. You will play a key role in supporting children and their families to develop communication skills and achieve their full potential across home, school, and community environments.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:• Assess, diagnose, and manage children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) across a range of ages and settings.• Deliver evidence-based, individualised and group interventions in community environments such as homes, schools, and clinics.• Manage a varied caseload, prioritising clinical need effectively and independently.• Work closely with families, carers, education staff, and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic care.• Provide training and guidance to parents, carers, and school staff to support communication development.• Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, you must have:• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).• HCPC registration and membership (or eligibility) with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).• Experience working with paediatric caseloads in community settings.• Strong clinical knowledge of speech, language, and communication disorders in children.• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.• The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
