Pessoa Squad Leader

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Squad Leader (Pessoa Squad Leader) based in Brazil. In this remote leadership role, you will oversee two or more software development squads, translating strategic objectives into focused execution and measurable business outcomes. You will ensure teams remain aligned with priorities, deliver predictably, and maintain a healthy, collaborative working environment. By partnering closely with Product, Customer Success, Support, Sales, Marketing, and technical leaders, you will streamline workflows and remove obstacles to delivery. You will use Agile methodologies, operational metrics, and data-driven decision-making to continuously improve team performance. The role also emphasizes the practical application of artificial intelligence to increase productivity, improve quality, and accelerate delivery cycles. Lead, coordinate, and support two or more software development squads, fostering productivity, team well-being, professional growth, and continuous improvement. Translate strategic objectives into actionable initiatives, ensuring alignment between business priorities, technical feasibility, team capacity, and delivery commitments. Maintain focus across squads by managing competing priorities, reducing unnecessary multitasking, and preventing teams from becoming distracted by initiatives that do not support strategic goals. Monitor delivery predictability by comparing planned versus actual outcomes, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions when necessary. Facilitate collaboration between development squads and cross-functional stakeholders, including Product, Customer Success, Support, Sales, Marketing, and other partner teams. Work closely with Product teams to organize and prioritize backlogs, ensuring requirements are clear, technically feasible, and aligned with available resources. Proactively identify and remove technical, organizational, and external blockers that disrupt development workflows or delay delivery. Define, monitor, and analyze operational KPIs to assess squad performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings, provide constructive feedback, support career development, and promote individual and collective team growth. Manage day-to-day squad operations, including capacity planning, workflow organization, Agile ceremonies, and delivery tracking. Lead alignment meetings with technical and product leadership to clarify priorities, resolve dependencies, and maintain consistent execution. Ensure transparent communication with stakeholders regarding delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and performance expectations. Develop and maintain performance dashboards that provide clear visibility into squad operations, productivity, and delivery outcomes. Promote the practical use of artificial intelligence across squads to support decision-making, organize workflows, improve communication, enhance software quality, and reduce delivery times. Measure the impact of AI adoption on team productivity and delivery performance, encouraging effective and responsible use of these tools. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Leadership experience: Previous experience leading software development teams in roles such as Tech Lead, Squad Leader, Agile Master, or a similar position. Project and product management: Experience managing projects involving digital products, coordinating delivery activities, and aligning technical execution with business objectives. Agile methodologies: Practical knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and Lean principles, including workflow management and efficiency and effectiveness metrics. Project management tools: Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools to manage backlogs, track progress, coordinate priorities, and monitor delivery. Prioritization and execution: Ability to maintain focus, organize competing demands, manage team capacity, and translate strategic direction into realistic, actionable plans. Adaptability and decision-making: Experience working in dynamic environments with frequent changes, competing priorities, and the need for timely, well-informed decisions. Performance under pressure: Ability to balance delivery speed, product quality, team capacity, and business alignment while managing complex situations. Business and technical understanding: Ability to connect technical decisions and development priorities with customer needs, product outcomes, and measurable business results. Communication and stakeholder management: Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to align multiple teams and stakeholders. Analytical skills: Ability to interpret operational indicators, build performance dashboards, identify improvement opportunities, and make data-driven decisions. Artificial intelligence: Hands-on experience using AI tools in day-to-day leadership activities to support decision-making, workflow organization, communication, and delivery productivity. Preferred experience: Familiarity with systems involving external integrations, APIs, or high operational variability is an advantage.
