PhD Programs Coach

We're seeking an experienced PhD programs coach to work with students throughout their doctoral journey, from application through defense. This role includes guiding students through school selection and application strategy, editing essays and secondary applications, and coordinating letters of recommendation and resume review for prospective applicants. Coaches also support students already in a program, including guidance on research design, data collection, and data analysis, as well as structuring a strong dissertation proposal and preparing for defense. Ideal candidates have completed a PhD themselves, prior advising or coaching experience, and a clear, structured approach to helping students navigate both the admissions process and the demands of doctoral research. Coaches set their own hours and rates, host sessions virtually, and partner with our team to deliver a high-quality, supportive experience for every student. WHY LELAND?
